The Whale's Tail

Decent fish, although I found the batter athick for my taste. Different style of batter too, which some may not like (my wife). Two stars for giving us cheap plastic cutlery to eat with, even though we didn't take it out.

Unfortunately, the halibut fish and chips were the worse I ever had. The fish was cooked in flat strips, very oily, the batter was gummy and pancake like, the fries had a unusual aftertaste. They did provide generous tartar sauce and ketchup dipping portions on the side, but for the price I was disappointed with the quality of food we ended up with.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. My grandparents showed me this place after they stumbled into it when their previous favourite fish and chip joint was closed. They've never gone back to their previous favourite and I can see why. The fish is cooked with very light batter and you don't leave the place feeling gross like you would after most other fish and chip joints. The owner is extremely nice and he isn't afraid to fill your wine up to the very top. Highly recommended!

Very lightly battered halibut and oven baked fries. Just the way I like it. YUM!

Terrible fish and chips! Possibly the worst we have ever had! The only saving grace was their ability to hasten our order so we only waited 15 minutes instead of 35.
