Moby Dick Restaurant is a must-visit in White Rock for anyone craving great fish and chips. The dish is made with cod, which is perfect for fish and chips and tastes way better than other types of fish for this classic meal. The onion rings were also fantastic, crispy and flavorful.nnWhat’s even better is that each order comes with an extra piece of fish, making it an excellent deal for the price. The quality of the food is top-notch, and the service is equally great, friendly and efficient.nnIf you’re visiting White Rock, I absolutely recommend stopping by Moby Dick for a delicious and satisfying meal!
So so delicious! The fish batter was perfect! The onion rings, oh my goodness those were the best! The popcorn shrimp was fine, nothing special. I’m not sure if the tartar sauce is made in house, but it’s the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had, I could eat it off a spoon by itself. The staff was great as well!
Moby Dick is the place to be if you’re a fan of classic fish and chips. Their “Fish & Chips” dish is absolutely spot-on, featuring perfectly fried, golden-brown fish that’s crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside. The fries are just as satisfying—crispy yet fluffy—and the portion size is generous, leaving you fully satisfied.nnThe casual, nautical-themed atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a hearty meal. The staff are welcoming, and service is quick, so you’ll be digging into your meal in no time. If you’re craving authentic fish and chips, Moby Dick is a must-visit!
First time coming here, came on a Monday afternoon and we didn't have to wait to get seated, about 30 minutes in, the place started to get pretty busy just before 1pm. The place is small, about 4 tables of 4 and 2 tables for 6 and is located along the main strip along the water.nOrdered a 3 piece fish & chips, and each order includes an extra piece, so 4 pieces in total for $31.95. We also ordered calamari for $15.95 with 2 steam works brew pints for $7.50 each $15 total.nThe price for the fish and chips was fair and the ratio from batter to fish was on point. Tartar sauce doesn't come with the fish, so a medium size is $1.25 - the tartar sauce wasn't all that great, so lemon and vinegar would do the trick unless it's a must for the tartar. The fries were nice and crispy and didn't come saturated in salt. The calamari was a little over fried, but it wasn't too bad.
Sunny winter day - had fish and chips, tartar sauce, and coleslaw, and washed down with a beer. Delicious . Only downside was no halibut only cod, and no draft beer. Expect the halibut was out of season? And the lack of draft probably because they don't get too many customers in winter on a weekday. Otherwise all good.
