The Source

I have had excellent service on multiple occasions from Beau, Ryan and one of the 2 employees named Emily. The other Emily I have yet to meet but is spoken well of by the other. I found the staff friendly, efficient and highly knowledgeable. There are many useful products in stock and if they don’t have it they can order it quickly.

I was greeted warmly by staff and had a lovely conversation. When asked what I was looking for, I was directed to what I needed and given my own space to decide what I wanted for myself. I wasn't pressured to buy the most expensive product and I wasn't pressured into buying a warranty. I really appreciated the "no pressure" environment. Truely, this place is an absolute gem to purchase electronic products.

I would never recommend to buy ANY apple products at this store. I bought air pods from them and one is not working. They will not take them nor will they return them. Every other store will support an exchange but not the source. Do not recommend buying from them.

Our service was excellent! Beau was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us first class service. Very smart young man.

I walked I to the source which used to be one of my favourite stores in Kemptville & have shopped there for years. Let me first say I understand there is a pandemic & am totally understanding but not to rudeness & incompetence. When I walked in there were 2 employees on the floor & I washed my hands at the entrance station. I walked in as there were no customers & was told to please wait at the door which I proceeded to do. I was asked what I was looking for & responded a remote control toy for my sons birthday. I was shown where they were & when I picked one up I was told not to touch anything. When I voiced I had just washed my hands at their wash station & how was purchasing something possible without looking? I was told there “there is a pandemic you know” so proceeded to just leave the establishment. The unprofessional gentleman there proceeded to continue talking AT ME as I walked out the door. I could hear him still complaining after I had walked out. Now I’m no expert but this store has a 3.6 rating & I understand why. Very unfortunate their customer service & professionalism is gone. I will never return.

Beau is an amazing worker. Helped me pick out a new phone for my upgrade and even helped me save money on my plan. Thanks Beau. I'll be coming to the store for help and specifically asking for you!

I very much appreciate the time the employee took with discussing the different aspects between a few laptops that would best suit my needs. I didn't feel rushed and he was extremely patient and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this store. I didn't catch his name but I'm grateful for his help and he taught me a lot.

Went in to buy a headset. I got the feeling the headset was over priced so I checked online and sure enough I found same model cheaper at other places. I asked the girl at the counter if they would price match or at least drop it enough that I could justify getting it for the convenience. She said she was new, and got some young guy out of the back to speak with me. I showed him that I could buy it on amazon.ca and get it the next day for approx 70$ less than what they had it listed for. He refused to move on the price and proceeded to engage in a argument about how they don't compete with amazon. So I left the store and bought it using my phone in the parking lot. I received it the next day to my door. Looks like they do compete with amazon. This is one local store that I won't be supporting anymore.

I like the Source, and try to support them as best I can because they keep closing down all the time. It's a good place to buy electronic components, and although usually over-priced, I look on it fondly. On December 24th I bought a Samsung Wireless Charger for $39.99. I was patient as the Salesman tried to sell me multiple products I didn't need and turn every sentence I said into a need to buy something. He was nice, and the store had exactly what I needed. Today December 26th, the next open business day I went in with my son, and the same Wireless Charger was on Sale for $19.99 - HALF PRICE! I said to the sales rep that I would have bought two if I had known that they were going to go on sale! I also told them that I was a little upset to find out that I paid full price when I could have paid half! The first sales rep just kind of nodded his head and didn't respond. The Sales rep who I bought the Wireless Charger from, rang my purchase today and was very curt when he realized that I was upset. I asked if I could return to $40 Wireless Charger and buy it again for $19.99, and they upsettingly said yes. Like I was out of line for being upset about paying double for the charger... I thought about it, I am not going to return it. I was going to go back, get $20, then buy another Wireless Charger and just forget about it, but I'm not going to go back to this store now. I'm not going to go back to the Source period. I understand why they're closing down now. I can buy all the parts I need from Amazon, get it FAR cheaper, and know that I'm not going to have to deal with Salespeople like this again.

Another waste of space store that seems to only sell phones. And not even eccesories. The staff are great. I blame the corporation. Bring back Radio Shack!
