I recently moved to Ottawa and have been to this thrift store few times. However, the manager is quite rude. Last time I was there I exchanged and item and had a $3 credit left. Which I wanted back and she LITERALLY LAUGHED AT THE FACT THAT YHE CREDIT WAS $3 and I was so surprised that I didn’t respond. However I would like to put in an official complaint, I donate quite frequently to animal shelter and food bank, however I didn’t want to donate to a store that over charges on everything significantly. The manager short lady with curly hair was extremely rude, laughed at me and was quite unprofessional. I can only imagine how she would make someone who is not financially comfortable feel. It’s clear she is not suited for a role where customer service and empathy are key, especially in a store meant to help people.
Found some good treasuresnYou never know what you may find,nBut I found the place mid-sized and reasonably well curated. It is definitely organized.nI enjoyed being there, got some good stuff, and look forward to checking it out again
I really enjoy going here. The size of this shop is not that large, but they have quite good-quality stuffs. There are often discount periods. Since the one store which used to be down from St. Laurent was closed, I have shopped here twice a month.
We love salvation Army they are our food bank they help alot and we go to thrift stores often because they are usually there to help.....This location however, is clearly there Solely for profit. We are low income, I usually come in to buy clothes for my son's because kid's clothes is so expensive, and usually I can find some good deals on stuffies and other toys, but lately ive noticed a decrease in quality and increase in price, yesterday while going through the toys I found a car that was EXTREMELY dirty, with missing peices and they wanted 10$ for this......I'm sorry but just throw it out........I bought a few bags of toys too random cars, and half of them were falling apart in dangerous ways my son still puts stuff in his mouth so this is concerning......the most frustrating thing however was exactly two weeks before I came in and noticed a train set behind the counter, it was 100$, no way I could ever afford that, I asked if they could do it for 20$. It looked like the perfect gift for my son in a couple year, but even in a couple year he will probably destroy it pretty quickly.....I was told to wait a week and that if it was still there, they would do it for 20$.....I waited EXACTLY 2 weeks, and when I came in it was still there I asked about the offered deal was told they wouldnt honor it and that they dont do that sort of thing, this just reaffirms that they are trying to ensure that they make as much money as possible off of things people donate for free.....the only person they are gunna sell that train to is some rich train enthusiast, that could have been a little boys christmas gift
First if all i love the Sally's. Its my go to store so of course i had to check out the ones in Ottawa. I was underwhelmed and disappointed. The prices were way too high for the quality of the used items. No changerooms - fine I understand but no washrooms?? That's unacceptable. Especially if they want customers to spend time in the store. I had to cut my experience short to go find a washroom. So awkward. The store was not very organized and needed a good clean up. I won't be back.
