Disappointing if you’re looking for board games and puzzles as there were barely any available, but there is a huge floor full of clothing that was organized well. Overall, it is a pretty good sized thrift store with a lot that can be found if you have time to go through it. Items are labelled and the place is well lit.
Normally I love my experience at this location and I donate here often. I was very upset to see this item in the display case at 780.00. I inspected the handbag and could tell right away it was fake. None of the seams of the bag were sealed, the hardware were the wrong weight, colouring of the hardware was off and the brand stamp on the leather was also off.nnI couldn’t let go of the fact they have a counterfeit item marked so high and decided to inquire how they authenticate to justify the high prices. I explained that I was not interested in purchasing the item but was wondering how they came to that price knowing some people would fall for it.nnThe manager was called and said they do not advertise that they authenticate items but if a customer wants to pay that price they can. She further stated that they have a price list they have to follow for these items and after a few weeks if it does not sell at the original listed price, they will lower it. I pressed further and asked how they come up with the price of 780.00 when ‘designer’ goods get donated and she just dismissed the question and said I could wait for the price to be lowered and that they do not say the items are authenticated.nnStill blows my mind that something that was donated could be priced like that.
Hit and miss. Be careful to check clothing. Found dried blood and cuts on some shirts. Returned to manager and they stated that they didn't know. Pricing is all over the place as they do not check what they have. Ex. Bag insert from Daiso was Priced at $4.99. It sells for $2.50 new in store . Found Vans at a great price and some men's brand new shirts. Lovely service at cash. Be weary of homeless people coming in.
EDIT: Jul. 02, 2022.nFound a Confederate belt buckle. Photo added. So I guess the review below didn't cause any long lasting, positive changes. Why the heck do I come back here? Sigh.nnMay 05, 2022.nI saw the cups on the shelf, and took one to show an employee so they can pull the cups off the floor. The shift supervisor stared blankly at the cup, and asked me what the problem was. I told her it was extremely racist. She gave me yet another blank look, then said she wasn't allowed to take it away because she had to get confirmation from the store manager. She was going to leave the manager a message.nnI walked around for another 10 minutes. Afterward, I went to check to see if the cups were still on the shelf. They were. I collected all of them up in a basket so I can put them behind the registry counter. When I reached over to put the basket behind the counter, the shift supervisor got very upset with me, and told me that it was inappropriate for me to do so, as she hasn't gotten confirmation from the manager yet on whether the cups could be taken away. I told her again that it's extremely problematic to even be carrying those items, then walked out.
I love thrift stores, I love shopping at ones and donating items there. I've also volunteered at several thrift stores and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I feel less inclined to donate and shop at this one for several reasons. One is the lack of parking, two is they don't give refunds and three even though the receipt states store credit is available, this is not actually the case. I asked for store credit and was told they were out of cards which is unfortunate.
