Story

The Olde Towne Grainery TeaRoom & Galleria is a relaxing, warm, cozy spot in an early 1900s historical granary building located in downtown Mount Vernon, WA.

Our lunch menu features a choice of salads with dressings freshly made, quiche of the day or a freshly baked croissant with a delicious filling.

Of course, our tearoom menu offers various levels of tea from the Queen's Tea that includes salad, quiche, finger sandwiches, scones and desserts to an afternoon refreshment of just scones or desserts and tea.

GMO FREE! SOY FREE! EVERYTHING PREPARED IN HOUSE!

We currently offer over 30 delicious, aromatic tea choices from the Jasmine Pearl Company.

We love having children enjoy a tearoom experience. We do ask that inside voices be used and they remain in their seats. We have many wonderful antiques and collectibles that are a temptation for little hands. :-)

We're not just a place for a special occasion, we are a special place for any occasion!

This is such a charming spot in downtown Mt. Vernon. Located on the second floor of an old Grainery, the tea room is charmingly decorated with old china and antiques. Just off the elevator is a tiny gallery that features a local artist. The tea selection is great, they offer a variety of black, green, white, herbal, and even yellow teas. Their menu is extensive, with options to suit almost anyone's taste. The daily specials are usually excellent. The best bang for your buck: get Tea for Two. You have to share a pot of tea, but you get free refills. It comes on a three-tiered platter with savories, sandwiches, and sweets, along with your choice of soup or salad. The only complaint I have is that they leave the tea loose in the pot. I like to linger with my tea, and I don't care for over-steeped tea. After a while, it gets pretty astringent. It would be lovely if they had tea baskets inside the pots that could remove all the tea at once. As they are now, you must remember to strain every cup of tea as you pour it. Depending on your selection, you may find you need to add cream to make it palatable. But, if you are a quick tea-drinker, this will be a non-issue. Overall, I recommend this place to all my friends and relatives, and it is my go-to for a ladies day out, casual brunch, or solitary escape. Every visit has been exemplary, and so long as they remain in business, they will have my patronage!

Delicious lunch & tea. The live music was very distracting while trying to have a conversation. Perhaps if the music wasn't in the tea room it would be a bit more relaxing and enjoyable!

My favorite place for a delicious cup of tea in a beautiful, quaint, and relaxing atmosphere. Their soup, tea sandwiches, and scones are the perfect lunch to go with your favorite tea.

My husband and I found this place by accident and I'm sure glad we did! We were looking for the antique store that used to be there and it was lunchtime so we decided to try it. We fell in love with this quaint, cozy place that's totally renovated the upstairs of the old grainary. The owners, (Sharon, the wife is the cook) are wonderful sweet Christian folks and the food is delicious (just the right amount) llike a victorian tea party, and you couldn't ask for a better atmosphere. It's been decorated with the antiques that I think came from the old store and are almost all for sale. There's a neat art gallery that you walk through on the way in (that I hope she will one day display my work in as I'm an artist) parts of the old grainary operating system for you to see land a chapel as well. We like this place so much that we keep going back and bringing friends and family and referring customers from our dog resort. GOD BLESS YOU GUYS AND THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING SUCH A WONDERFUL PLACE AND SUCH GREAT FOOD!!!

Such a cool place! Its in the second Floor of the Old Grainery building in Mt Vernon. They have transformed it to this nice tearoom decorated with antiques and art. They even have live music once a week there. They bring you out tea of your choice and countless biscuits, finger-sandwiches, cookies and scones! Truly made for an amazing date.
