Skagit River Brewery

About

Skagit River Brewery is Skagit Valley’s Original Brewery with real food! Now featuring a Tap House and Full Bar.

Story

As the Skagit Valley’s original brew pub, Skagit River Brewery was established in 1995 with the core belief that everyone deserves to drink great beer. Our journey as brewers began with a focus on Yakima Valley hops and locally grown barley and wheat — for which the Skagit Valley is rightfully famous.

Of course, great beer demands great food — and in response to our customers’ ongoing requests to pair their pints with something a cut above conventional “pub grub”, we started a restaurant. As the craft beer industry in the Pacific Northwest has evolved, so have we. This past year we added additional taps so that our guest can enjoy the best of our regional brewing scene, along with Skagit River “made in Skagit” brews which feature Skagit Valley Malting grains in every beer. And each of our beer's draw upon their own sources of inspiration to cater to seasonal and individual tastes.

So…here we are some two decades later, the only establishment in the Skagit Valley that combines the best traditions of a brewery, restaurant, and now a Tap House — all in the interest of serving the important things in life: good food, good friends, and good times.

We look forward to your next visit, Cheers!

Atmosphere was great. They seated us very quickly despite being exceptionally busy. The chili was hearty but lacked any character. The salads were below average. Discolored lettuce and no visual appeal. Nice beer list, but on this day three of the beers we asked for were not available (blew the tap). Unfortunate.

Longer than expected wait, during a slower evening. The drinks were hit and miss one of the tap beers was totally flat and tasted skunky, but ciders were very good. The food did not come as ordered or at the same time half our party was almost done eating before the last few got there food, the food for the most part was tasty but not nearly worth the cost we were charged, was a step better than McDonald's but 4 times the cost. The table and chairs were very small and uncomfortable for a taller heavy guy, my knees were wrecked before the drinks were even served. Would not highly recommend but would give them another try eventually :-(

I was disappointed in the fish tacos and would not recommend them. The corn tortillas were not cooked, the sauce was placed first, (there was no dressing at all on the veg), the fish was in tiny bits virtually indistinguishable from the cabbage and it was brought cold to the table. It was reheated, useless! The tacos fell apart and could not be eaten by hand. The rest of the dish consisted of beans, salsa and tortilla chips? Whatever for I don't know. Just get a pizza, burger or ribs and beer($7!?); the best options at this establishment.

Great food and beer. Always a good selection of beer in house and also other vendors. Great food always fresh and satisfying. Never poor service. Even at Tulip time there is spaces. But not flights at Tulip festival time!

Food; happy hour nachos are wet and soggy. Not layered at all, pile of wetness and small amount of melted cheese..cold and unappetizing. Pizza was undercooked but not bad, potential to be much better. Fried pickles were good but not much pickle. Double red ale, CDA, and Porter were all good. Service; Clearly more interested in flipping tables than providing friendly service. Very unorganized with an awkward person (floater / server) creeping around looking down their nose at each table presumably waiting to pounce on a dirty dish... Not my first time or last time here if only for the opportunity to witness the embodiment of awkward perusing the dining room..
