The M22

We have stayed in many motels in our time, however we believe this is the cleanest motel we have stayed in and kept up very well. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend the M-22 motel as a vacation lodging. We will be back for a weekend stay within the next 6 months.

Great accommodations. I was in The Chalet and was very comfortable. Full kitchen with microwave; lots of natural light. Close to many attractions in the area including The Commons and Leelenau.

What a view ! My room was clean and smelled like a spa. Beds comfortable, bathroom perfect size and the complimentary shampoo and lotion are top shelf. Located conveniently near everything, coffee in the lobby. Stay once and you will definitely want to return.

Great room. Perfect for a family. Brand new (or recently remodeled). You can walk from your room and into the lake in a couple of minutes. Manager (or possibly owner) was genuinely friendly and accommodating. Our dog loved it.

Very good for the price, considering the area. There are few places to stay under $300 on the Leelanau peninsula during high season. At $160 for a pretty nice double queen room, we were very happy. The outside looks like a typical motel, not too inspiring, but the room was surprisingly nice. Windows and doors on both sides, so much brighter than a typical motel room. The room was very large, with 2 queen beds, a table and chairs, sitting chair, and kitchenette, plus of course a full bathroom. It has been recently remodeled, so everything was relatively attractive. The place was very clean, which we appreciated. There was ice in the ice trays, clean glasses, nice towels, shampoo, etc. Also you can walk across the road and sit on a bench by the water if you like. Beds were great - no complaints at all. Minor negatives: noisy A/C unit, road noise if you open the windows.
