The Lock Up Self Storage

This is a new building so expect many rent increases every year so they can pay off their building. They will punish you for it. I've only had this storage unit for about a year now. I had one of the smallest units, started at 99 bucks a month when I signed up, then 4 months later I got a rent increase notice, 126 a month then THIS month I got another rent increase notice (starting in october) 136 a month. The rent increase notice states the reason they are going up is to continue to give their better service.What better service? I havent noticed a difference at all. Not only that, when I was in the process of moving out, if your not active in the hall for a few minutes the lights go out (so they can save money on their electricity) I almost tripped and fell in my storage unit because it was pitch black! Remember this is a small unit too that I had, closet space storage unit! I'm always working so I never had time to move out, I finally had a day yesterday the 31st of aug got most of my stuff out, then i had to go to work i had no time to get all my stuff out! Got the rest of my boxes out today the 1st of september, and when I canceled they charged me a rent fee for early this morning! Not only that a uncollected service fee? which was 3 dollars and a protection plan charge for 10 dollars!What ever this means and a 10 cent energy fee charge.Eneygy fee? The lights kepts going on and off upstairs, anyone can get hurt and trip and fall if it is pitch black. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STORE YOUR STUFF ELSE WHERE LIKE AT UHAUL OR in your basement if you have your own. Uhaul is climate controlled and you can get bigger storage units for only 80 bucks a month. What I was paying here 136.00 at uhaul you can get a storage unit there that will store two bed rooms worth of storage for 136! If you get a membership here, you will regret it later. Go to uhaul down the street. Expect a rent increase every year and hidden charges at THE LOCK UP, and whoever doesnt question the rent increases and all the different charges, needs to open up their eyes and read their mail and read it carefully and cancel, unfortunately, you will have to deal with the cancel fees though to help pay for this building.
