We stayed in a two-bedroom, pet friendly, cottage. The location was ideal. About a 5 minute walk to town and conveniently located to many other attractions in the area. The rustic cottage was clean and the kitchen adequately stocked. The king bed was very comfortable and the bedding of better quality. Two free-standing a/c units kept the rooms comfortable. Lots of areas nearby to walk our two dogs that traveled with us. Although there was an outdoor picnic table, a couple of patio chairs would have been nice. So bring your own. Also, bring BBQ tools if you think you might use the grill. Staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant/bar on the property was only seconds away. The food and service were both good.
We spent 3 nights total here around our time backpacking/camping North Manitou Island. Brian and his staff were absolutely wonderful. Staff in the bar and restaurant were great, too. Was quiet and relaxing here. Other guests were friendly. Enjoyed the coffee and blueberry muffins in the morning. Brian built a fire for other guests and us to use one of the nights. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms super clean. Parking never a problem even around the Labor Day weekend. Perfect location in my opinion, just up the street from the the shops. We took advantage one night to play board games in the lobby space while having a beer and watching football game quietly. Felt very comfortable at The Lodge and cannot wait to return, was a perfect vacation for us. Thanks to all the wonderful staff!
We recently stayed four nights in a standard king room. The room was clean, comfortable and warm with updated decor. The bed was super comfy. Good coffee bar in the morning. We also ate at the on site restaurant for a couple of our meals. The food was excellent and among the best we enjoyed in the area.
Charming lodge. Great location. Beautiful view. Brian was kind and thoughtful. Even though we arrived as the office was closing, he made sure our tidy room had yummy cookies waiting for us. Complimentary bicycles for guests. Cute gift shop. Good restaurant.Rooms: 5/5
We attempted to go to the Cove but had a 20' wait. Bluebird was closed at 1430 on a Friday afternoon. Went to Leland Lodge restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by a great chowder and very good sandwiches. Service was very good and prices cheap by TC tourist standards. Bathrooms very clean. This will be my new go-to place in Leland for lunch.
Cozy hotel in an ideal location and very accommodating service. 1. Location - lodge is in easy walking distance of town and Lake Michigan but also very short walk to beach on Lake Leelanau 2. Service - The front desk was very nice and made everything very easy. Bike checkout was super easy, unlimited complimentary waters and soft drinks, and no issue late checkout since no one was taking our room that day we were told we could keep the room as long as we needed on checkout day 3. Room - the building has a very cozy lodge feel. The wood shown in pictures is not paneling, it is actually full slabs of 1 inch think red oak that line the lobby and the rooms. Something that would be prohibitively expensive today but very cool. Overall, had a great time and would recommend.
Absolutely lovely! We felt like friends the moment we walked in the door. 100 years old, but spotless, fresh, classic and charming!! If you’re on the fence, don’t be- it’s a gem!Rooms: 5/5
We’ve always loved our trips to northern Michigan, but the one we just took has to take the cake and part of that is due to our stay at the Leland Lodge! Not only was our room more than we could’ve asked for- well-priced, spacious, clean, beautiful view & nice amenities, but the staff & the director Brian were so kind! The cookies & the wine bar, restaurant, and extensive list of complimentary services like bikes to ride to town! were such a treat for us. We’re already planning to book our next trip up north and stay here the whole time!
Attended a Petoskey polishing class at this venue. Walking through the lodge was clean, the employees were friendly. Beautiful location, great town. Nearby activities: Walking distance to a very quaint downtown area. Lake Michigan is very accessible for swimming, relaxing, Rock hunting.
This hotel was very pretty. We are a family of four that was traveling through out Michigan and came upon this town. It does have an onsite restaurant and bar which was fantastic with beautiful gold course view. It also offered complimentary bicycles for use. This town alone has something called fish town. If you are in the area this is a great place to rest!
