The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Scott Road

This location is quintessentially "The Keg". The food is what you expect from every Keg, the decor and ambience is spot-on too. So, if you're already familiar with The Keg, this location will meet your expectations. If you are unfamiliar with The Keg, you may find it a bit darker inside, a bit noisier and a bit more-crowded - these are some of The Keg's trademark features, and they cement it's standing as a mid-range steakhouse experience. To put this into context: The Keg is seriously better than the Ponderosa Steakhouses I grew up with, but also a serious step down from Hy's Steakhouse - and their pricing matches their placement very well. This Keg location is OK for seniors and kids, but it's at it's best with a younger crowd - an evening with friends, perhaps even a date. But I would never classify this as an "intimate" dining experience. I find The Keg (and specifically this location) to be unpretentious, and satisfying... and very true to The Keg experience.

Though some many find the prices here to be increasing, and overall overpriced, the food here is really great! Many options and always very delicious. Staff are always so kind and welcoming from when they hold open the front door - to when they greet you on the way out. Bathrooms and seating area is very modern and clean. However the restaurant itself is very dim-lit so be weary if you have poor vision. Been going to this restaurant for many years and I will continue to do so!

I have been to this Keg 3 times now and every time we go there is nothing but issues. Whether it is them bringing you the wrong meal, hair being in your food, them not taking reservations, them making you wait 20 minutes for a table and then they take you in and there is 10+ tables empty and to top it off even not getting to eat your wedding anniversary meal together because one steak was extremely under cooked.. It was bloody raw!! However, the problem we had weekend was the last straw. I will not only never got back to this location but any keg.. For the amount you pay for a meal I would expect top notch service! Instead you get ripped off...date night wrecked and my husband and I left upset. We even spoke to the manager and how we were treated by the MANAGER himself cemented the deal.

Quality here has really dropped off in the past few years. We only go to The Keg if we have gift cards. I'd rather spend my money at Cactus Club across the street. The bar is always spot on but the kitchen seems to let things slide. Of course if you mention to the wait staff, they will quickly address any issues so that is a plus. Mediocre rating, basically better than most pubs but not better than anything found outside of the Surrey/Delta area.

The food was just excellent, like any other Keg locations, no surprise here. I came for my birthday, mentioned that to the server and got a free dessert and it was great, too. I believe you can also get free dessert for other special occasions such as anniversaries,... The service was amazing, my server, Eric, was more than helpful and friendly.
