The Hexagon Board Game Cafe

You know when you find the perfect blend of ambience, activity, and soul-satisfying desserts and you just don't want to leave? That's how I felt at this cafe. I may as well have become a boardgame myself, especially if it meant I could stay there forever exaggeration to be excused. All in all, it was a great experience with just the right kind of energy!

Fun games, awesome service, and good food makes Hexagon Board Game Cafe a MUST! Went here for the first time with a friend, unknown about what we would expect. After our experience, we will DEFINITLEY be coming back! I'm not much of a board game person besides Chess, Monopoly, Cards etc. But the staff were VERY happy to help, suggest and guide you through board games you never heard of before. We ordered Nachos to snack on, and it came out very fresh! You could immediately tell the veggies we all freshly cut in the kitchen. This is a MUST for everyone! You do NOT have to be a hardcore board game player. Ask the staff for recommendations as they quite an extensive knowledge of board games & a huge collection. Order some food while you're at it, cause its actually good. HIGHLY Recommend anyone from Edmonton to make the commute here, it's a must.

Pretty cute cafe. Great idea and concept. Decent London Fogs, Chai Latte and the pretzel was good. Would recommend and come back to play some games.

Fun place to pass some time! When it's not too busy the staff share board game recommendations and teach us how to play some of the top games of the year. It's always fun trying new board games but the hardest part is learning it so it helps that the staff can teach them! We learned how to play Cascadia this visit and it was so fun one of my friends bought it right after. It's $4/hr I think they must've increased it recently per person + each person has to buy a drink. Being able to sip on a cozy hot beverage at the same time is a nice bonus. The matcha latte was pretty average but satisfies the matcha crave.

I love this place!! We didnt try any menu items, but there is a vast selection of board games and the staff are super kind. The staff explained and chose games for us to try. Interior is spacious and comfortable with booths and wide tables. Each hour is $4. In two hours, we tried Santorini, Quarto, and Love Letter all are two player games and super fun Would recommend for groups or dates!

Went on an adventure with a friend and we saw the sign for Cookie Dough hot chocolate so we popped in and to our surprise it is a table top game Cafe. Spent at least an hour in and had a blast

Second time I go, and I absolutely loved it. The drink is delicious and the food is delicious as well as long as you don't mind spending a bit. However, the spotlight of this place is the customer service. The employees are the absolute nicest people ever. If you don't get amazing customer service, then you must be a rare rare experience. Hats completely off to the younger lady wish I got her name who worked today till closing. She was so incredibly nice I almost thought of tipping more than the original tip that was placed. One of the nicest employees I've ever spoken to in my life and she recommended me a game I'm definitely going to buy chroma cube. Thank you so much to her again wish I got her name because she most definitely made my day.

Great experience! Staff are so friendly and eager to help, lots of games to pick from, quick service, and fun environment! The only reason it was not 5 stars was some of the drinks/desserts were overpriced.

Honestly one of my favourite places on Whyte Ave. If you’re looking for an affordable date night or a fun afternoon with friends, look no further. The cafe itself is spacious and very clean with lots of seating. The atmosphere is very calm and inviting and the bathrooms are spotless. There’s so many board games to choose from, it’s honestly hard to pick one just because there’s so many options. The servers are friendly and the service is quick. You don’t have to order food or drinks but whenever I ordered something it always tasted very good. I’ve come here numerous times on dates and with friends and it was always such a fun time. I also appreciate that this cafe is open late sometimes after midnight. Overall, an amazing place that I recommend to everyone. Love it here.

Great place, it's so fun. They have too many incredible games. If you're looking to have a good time with your friends this is the place. Their drinks are so yummy too their Chai te is exceptional you must try it.
