tried this place with my bf for a dessert after lunch date. they have a lot of pastry options that operated in a sort of cafeteria style, where you grab a tray, pick what you want, and then go pay at the front. they also had a closed case of cakes and lots of drink options. I think we went at a bad time because it was extremely busy and not a lot of staff on so it was slow. But I will definitely be back to have more pastries because they were quite good and not terribly priced.
A little too pricey in my opinion, but it was good nonetheless. They have a variety of sweet and savoury pastries to choose from, I quite personally enjoyed the mochi donuts! However, a lot of the items get sold out quickly, and it seems it takes them awhile to refill them. I was hoping to get more but so many items were just sold out so couldn’t really get much of what I wanted. I will cut them some slack though, the lineup is long and they’re constantly swarmed. Not really any time to clean up the tables even if they’re quite messy. However, it did seem quite unorganized behind the counter, they lost our cake slice so we had to ask for another one. Hopefully the hype dies down soon so it would have a more enjoyable service and atmosphere if we decided to come back again. I would recommend trying at least once for their mochi donuts though!
I was really excited to try Paris Baguette, but found it to be a bit of a let down. There is a wide selection of pastries, cakes and bread; however, I thought the quality was mediocre at best, considering the price point. Many items were between $5-8 each and I have had much higher quality baked goods at local bakeries and coffee shops. There was a lack of consistency in service among staff, perhaps because they are still being trained. My cousin and I had coffees and a couple of pastries there, then lined up again to get some things to go for my boyfriend. They gave my cousin a small coffee when she had ordered a medium. She only found out when she compared it to the medium I got. The cashier I had also gave me a paper bag instead of a box for my pastries not ideal for keeping them intact, while she received a box for hers. Unfortunately, I would not travel the 30 minutes it takes for me to get here just to come to Paris Baguette.
WOW!!! Seriously wow!!! The pastries are so fresh, so light, just the right amount of sweet. The staff are so friendly, still learning as they have only been open for 3 days, but so friendly and eager to help out. The coffee is beyond amazing. Their caramel macchiato both iced and hot is so much better than Starbucks. Their crab croquette is so light and delicious that it makes a crab cake seem like a fried fritter. This gem on Whyte Ave is a true treat for those who love to experience food. If we could give it 10 Stars we absolutely would. Thank you isn’t enough to the Staff at Paris Baguette for the most amazing Sunday morning breakfast.
I highly recommend this place when comes to pastries and coffee. This is the bakery that won the heart of bread lover. Don’t look at the price but ambiance and taste of pastry product. This review is 10/10. Parking: Edmonton Parking Fee
5 Stars is not enough. The scale and quality is on full display, watching the dozen bakers crafting behind the glass. Love the easy access to wander through and select each piece with your very own tongs. Each pastry is artful and clearly just made on site. What a concept, go early and bring your friends.
The place is specious and has various types of breads. I like Korean red bean bread and I could find it here. Cakes and doughnuts are pricey, but breads are okay when I think about downtown cafe's dessert prices. I bought a few breads and the best one was Almond Croissant. Red bean doughnut was a bit harder than what I expected. I didn't try beverages, but a lot of people tried coffee.
I really like the selection here. I love that you just grab a plate and grab whatever pastries you want so you don't have to wait. I love that there's lots of sandwiches and not just your plain old desserts. I'm not sure if I missed it but, soups would be really great. It's really nice to see some more nice bakeries coming out in Edmonton. Loving the savory options. I got a bacon egg pastry thing. It was absolutely delicious , and then I also got the chicken. Something sandwich also absolutely amazing. And then I have another pastry I haven't tried yet but it looks delicious . Please Please please please please please open one up in the Northeast!! We're up and coming and I promise you you will get tons of business here!!
It is indeed heartening to see a new pastries special cafe opening in Whyte avenue. We missed La Boule ever since it closed its door. This place has a variety of premium-quality pastries and coffees. Price is reasonable and the establishment is clean with nice decor. Highly recommended.
Worldwide franchise bakery and cafe from Korea. amazing selections of pastries. Cakes are best in town for sure. will never regret cuz it is worth it.
