After reading online reviews I decided to visit Heartbreak Chef. I’m extremely impressed with the friendly service and the food. The portion size is enough for two people . Which is great as I’ll have the pleasure of enjoying more later on. The food is very tasty. The chicken is juicy and flavourful. The macaroni is nice & cheesy. I will definitely be back in the near future to try more items on the menu. Thank you to the amazing staff for your dedication in preparing the food. Very much appreciated.
We finally made it down from Richmond Hill to try out The Heartbreak Chef. Myself and the 4 teens with me absolutely loved it. My 2 kids and I are huge foodies and give it a thumbs up! A Michelin star for fried chicken! Not greasy at all. Everything was great. The sauces on all the different menu items were very tasty. We were warned about the heat from the jerk sauce but we didn’t find too hot at all. Mac and cheese was so creamy. The sandwich toppings of coleslaw and pickles were paired so well. The gravy for the chicken and waffles was perfectly sweet. The meals are big enough for 2, but we still ordered 4 and enjoyed every last bite lol Highly recommend! My son says 5 star and 10/10
Mouth watering food, massive portions and decent prices. Discovered this place on Instagram a while ago and now I'm regretting not checking it out sooner. I grabbed the Grilled Mac and Cheese with Chicken and I'll definitely be back for it again soon.
The big chicken is good. Its a dark meat sandwiches with buffalo sauce. Its very messy and has Nothing special tbh. its greasy. The mac and cheese is so garlicy and is tasteless. Tater tots are bland. Overall not worth it.
2022 September 4.5 Crunchy fried chicken that's sure to please. Not too thick, but just good enough for the crunch. Accompanying sauces were great. The jerk sauce is insanely hot. The hot sauce itself is good as well. Staff friendly. Worth a visit.
I waited one and a half years to taste this brother's food and he didn't disappoint. It was worth the wait! Chicken sandwich. Mac and cheese. Tater tots were all delicious! I'll see you when I make it back to Toronto! It was a pleasure!
We went in on a Sunday at 7pm for our first time and they were sold out already! We were looking forward to the fried chicken sandwich all day and were so disappointed to find out we couldn’t get any. But Jerome, the owner, hooked us up with some fried chicken sandwiches, Mac & cheese, and Brussels sprouts because he didn’t want us to leave empty handed. Jerome is by far one of the best owners I’ve come across and is so friendly and welcoming. This heartbreak chef won’t break your heart! Check out this spot for the best fried chicken sandwich in town
The tater tots were great. The chicken sandwhich was extremely difficult to eat because of the size of it BUT it tasted great! I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu
I've heard food is one of the best ways to heal a broken heart. Well - I'm not sure how true that is but I am inclined to believe it is true after having dinner at The Heartbreak Chef. Let's get on with my order! The Likkle Dutty Chicken Sandwich had a piece of their famous fried chicken tossed in an extra hot jerk sauce, topped with grilled pineapple, and creamy slaw - absolutely delicious with the pineapple adding a tangy taste to the savory chicken! The Mac and Charlie was the perfect companion to it with warm macaroni and cheese stuffed in the classic grilled cheese, giving it a delightful, gooey texture! The Cajun tater tots were the perfect salty side to the delicious sandwiches, making for a well-rounded meal served in generous portions! Chicken was crunchy and flavourful. Slaw was delicious! I even went back the next day My heart was broken yesterday. I came from the west end. And they said all out of chicken. I tried another spot considered one of the best, and it just reassured me that heartbreak chef is the best chicken sand-which in Toronto.
