Season Six is worthy of six stars. Charming Brook and Lara have pulled off a sublime experience of texture and taste. The space is comfortable and clean. The food, changing seasonally, is farm-connected and well executed. Sips are binge-able, especially the Mule. Fun service with Chris.
Season Six was a great little spot for an intimate dinner, we were sat in a small booth with sheer curtains which was absolutely perfect. It was fairly quiet but it was a Wednesday evening. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious.
Season six does it again! This place is wonderful and I love their concept of sourcing in season ingredients for meals by changing the menu 6 times a year. This is my third time there, we ordered the baked Brie for an app delicious but wasn’t life changing 3/5 stars, chicken leg and risotto bowl good but far too heavy on risotto for my liking 3/5 and the pork belly WOW this was phenomenal, I would go back here 1x a month just to have this meal it was that good 6/5 stars!!. Last time I was here all dishes were 4 or 5 stars so I think we possibly chose the wrong dish for our pallets but will 100% come back
After enjoying a stoll down Ossington for our first time, i was picky about finding a restaurant with the right food and vibe. We happened upon Season Six. Absolutely delicious food. Hubby and I both had the big summer salad and it was so fresh and tasty. We also each enjoyed their yummy cocktail . Loved sitting in their outside patio but when the wasps started to bother us, the owner moved us inside which enabled us to enjoy the booth and the indoor vibe. Highly recommend giving it a try. Hubby also said their coffee was good too
New menu review May 2022: menus change every 2 months but this is their first radical change to a more conventional, more expensive menu. No more bowls. Rice was too soft waterlogged in the pork belly dish $28. Lovely maitake mushroom dish heavy in orange flavor. Highlight: the grilled flavoured Japanese eggplant $25. Casual service.
Enjoyed my dinner here. Cozy, nesty, humble and vibrant. The beef bourguignon was delish. Just wished the beef was traditionally ‘chunky’. The vegan cauliflower dish is packed with some great spices and flavors. Loved that our server knew what was in the food. Will be back at S6 soon. 4.8/5
I was walking by with some friends and thought of trying this place. The weather was beautiful and we sat outside. I was feeling like having any alcohol, the waitress suggested hot cider, I tried it and it was a perfect combination to the chilly weather. Service was fast and friendly!
Well thought out menu and very tasty food. Large portions and we even took some home. Decor is nice, arrive early to get one of the two booths or reserve. Cute little bar in the back which you can also reserve. Loved the tofu and shittake mushrooms bowl. Will definitely be back!
We’ve been stoked about trying Season Six for a long while, and our schedule finally lined up so we could have dinner on their patio. All we can say is: Wow! They live up to the hype, and then some. We love their menu concept; develop dishes that use seasonally fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. And check out their website for why “six” seasons, and not “four” - makes total sense and shows their attention to detail at its best. They’ve nailed the fast casual concept, providing imaginative, delicious dishes at a very reasonable price especially since they’re located on the trendy Ossington Strip, where too many restaurants use the location to charge too much for food that doesn’t warrant the price point. The service is absolutely on-point. Friendly and knowledgeable while avoiding the faux geniality and familiarity that so often plagues the fast casual scene. They have a short, but well thought-out wine list - again, for very fair prices so refreshing to find a restaurant that doesn’t use the wine list as an excuse to pillage your wallet!. Similarly, a short but imaginative and delicious cocktail list that is created in-house provides a great chance to set the mood for the delicious meal to come. And the food is outstanding. Fresh, imaginative - even daring - delicious, and very filling. We ordered two bowls and a side of grilled ratatouille OMG - so good and could have easily been satisfied with just the two bowls. But the delicious grilled ratatouille justified our having to waddle away from the table when we were done. We can’t recommend Season Six highly enough. We will most certainly make a point of returning for each of their six new menus a year, and will not doubt repeat each at least once.
I hadn't tried food like that before. It had a new taste for me and was really delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and it was the key component of their great meals. I definitely recommend here. They call themselves season six as they believe in six seasons and six different menus during the year based on the fresh available ingredients of the time. Great experience. :
