Love the beef gyro platter. It's bit pricey for the quantity, but I can't help it, I love the taste. I'm leaving 4 stars despite my last two delivery orders having stale lettuce. Quality control seems to be an issue at this branch. I got refunded for both orders, but that is not the point guys. I want to order again, I love the bowl, but you need up the game and send fresh stuff. I will place a third order in coming days to check if stale lettuce hits a hattrick.
The food here is pretty good and tasty. I got the Gyro and while it didn't look like it had bbq crispy bits, it was gyro tasting. Staff here was quick and prompt. Me and my friends like to enjoy our food out in the huge parking lot with camping chairs. Nothing beats eating good food with friends in a camping like atmosphere even tho there's cars parked all around. Just have in under the trees on the side. Stay safe out there my friends!
Been meaning to try out Halal Guys in Canada ever since I had the original cart in NY many years ago, and finally got the chance today! Although the vibe and quality was not on par with the OG in NY, this one was pretty good overall! The food was fresh and plentiful and the famous white sauce was spot on! Have I had better chicken shawarma and beef gyro? Yes. But this was worth trying out regardless. The service was friendly and fast, the lady working there even did a walk around after to offer more sauce and ask us how the food was. The location was very clean, including the bathrooms. We first tried the halal guys in NYC at their famous food truck. since then we have been to this Mississauga branch a couple of times. Simple menu but great food! They have small and regular sized platters. We went it to have the chicken platter. Friendly staff and the quality and quantity are both upto the mark. We always go for an extra drizzle of their famous white sauce. The toppings are always fresh and savory. They also have their signature hot sauce which can be added on top or they can give you a small sachet to drizzle on later. I would recommend this place to all those who love grilled meat served with rice and salad. Highly recommend this location.
The place was empty, nice and spacious. The menu is very limited. We ordered the beef and chicken gyro. It wasn't that great. The meat lacked some bang or wow factor. The rice was just normal boiled rice with colour in it they could do much better. The hot sauce wasn't spicy at all and the white sauce was just ok. There was too much of tomatoes and lettuce in it.
Went here for a late-night bite. It's a small location with limited seating and a limited menu, but overall it was a good experience. I ordered the beef gyro which was alright. The meat was cooked well and the wrap complimented the gyro quite excellently. Only thing is perhaps the meat could be seasoned a little more generously as it was rather plain and brought down the food experience. Now, talking about the service, it was exceptional. Extremely friendly and outgoing staff that go out of their way to meet the expectations of their customers. If this place was based on food alone it would be a 3/5, but the service brings it up a whole-level. Take that as you will.
Tried the chicken sandwich for the first time I would say this place is overhyped The chicken was dry Didn't liked the bread either So coming to their famous white sauce which is ok ok not extraordinary The only reason to give it two stars,coz of the hard working guy who made my sandwich Tried his best with the customer service but can't blame him since the food is not upto the mark . There are alpt of shawarma places better than this one around the area, so i would say avoid it
What amazed me the most about Halal Guys was how light I felt after eating. The reason I’m bringing this up is because this type of food has the tendency to leave you either super full or bloated. I ordered a lamb and chicken gyros platter and everything was perfectly balanced, well seasoned, and not strong in taste. As a take out option I definitely will be returning here!
First time visiting The Halal Guys. Heard good things about them so I checked them out. I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the zesty lamb platter, because it was a limited time thing, and because it was something different than most other middle eastern restaurants. It was fantastic! The staff was friendly and courteous. Definitely worth a return visit!
Expecting was high but the quality of meat and tastes totally different from NY store. Tried beef gyro but the beef was not fresh. Customer service was friendly and helpful.
