In the book series, Debbie’s characters Seth & Justine Gunderson become the owners of the Victorian Tea Room after their restaurant, The Lighthouse, is lost to arson.
In 2013, The Hallmark Channel adapted Debbie's Cedar Cove books into its first dramatic scripted television series of the same name. Come for breakfast or lunch then make a day of it and stay to browse through the gift shop. Visit "Cedar Cove" to be uplifted and inspired -- it's a perfect escape.
In 2016 Debbie updated the building and reopened as The Grey House Café, adding the Hallmark Gold Crown Store to the gift shop.
