The Great Canadian Meat

It was my first time trying this place and they didn't disappoint! I ordered their signature BBQ hotdog on a bun, french fries, and smoked turkey sandwich and all were so delicious! I was so hungry that the turkey sandwich in the picture has been eaten half-way. My fav was definitely the hotdog

We love a good deli sandwich and the Great Canadian Meat Company is the place to go for one in Durham. It is busy at lunch on weekends but well worth the little bit of a wait. They also have the best, tasty fries.

Terrific value! Can get a hefty lunch for $10, and when I mean hefty, I mean hefty. The picture doesn't do it justice, and the burger is bigger in real life. Service was quick, and the burger was high quality. Salad was alright, I feel like you might as well get another burger since it's better value. Definitely would think about going to this place weekly! Oh, and atmosphere was clean, and modern, but yet rustic in some parts.

A hidden gem that has been our go-to for hot and delicious Montreal smoked meat sandwiches for years. Their new location is absolutely beautiful and the layout is accessibility friendly. But don’t just buy sandwiches, be sure to stock up on pepperoni sticks and sausages, too. Craving a vendor sausage? Look no further, because these sausages are far above your average sausage cart. We boil ours briefly and then BBQ the remaining time. They even sell the yellow buns there, too, so it’s a one stop shop. You won’t regret it, this place offers quality food and exceptional service.

First time back since the renovations, Wow!! Big space, with place to sit and enjoy a delicious sandwich, schnitzel or Fries. Much bigger space with beautiful atmosphere. A few things you can buy here : A wide variety of Deli Meats, cheese,pickles, breads,hotdogs,sausages,jerky,soups and a ‘From the Kitchen’ section. Fantastic Renovation with more options, and great food... Great prices too.

Why am I just learning of this gem. Great place to grab lunch and the deli counter has some fantastic cuts. Must try their cut to order bacon!! It’s unreal.

The deli food was excellent. I had a smoked meat sandwich with mac and cheese for the side, and it was fantastic. The interior was very clean, the shop portion looked to be well stocked I need to grab a box of hot dogs next time I’m in, the staff were friendly and quick. If you choose to go around the typical lunch hour, expect that the lineup could be out the door. However, because the staff is fast, you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on terrific food.

Our favourite deli. Great service. Great food. Happy to be able to dine in again.
