The Grad Club

First time there, Thursday Trivia! Trivia was awesome, a great time with friends and will likely go again. However, really displeased with the rude attitude from the bartender/manager. I get he was extremely busy working the bar alone on trivia night, but in the end it’s more drinks sold and more tips in his pocket? When trying to be polite with him, no reciprocation. He kicked out a table of ~12 next to us, not sure why—they didn’t seem too rowdy—may have been for snagging chairs from somewhere they shouldn’t have. Also the kitchen was closed at 8:30pm so no apps to share during trivia so that was less than ideal.

Terrible food. One server. Ran out of burgers and their fryer broke on trivia night. Would not replace a disgusting beverage and looked at us like we were aliens when we requested they exchange it for something that didn’t taste like hot garbage. Avoid at all costs!

Friendly and relaxed environment with a bunch of fun options. The staff was kind, would recommend wearing bug spray if sitting on patio! ***update review: had a bad experience last night with event planning. The staff was rude, didn't answer emails and was not accommodating. The waiter was nice but the manager /bar tender was very inconsiderate.

Great GF and Vegan options, plus an exciting assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. The Art on the walls is lovely and the staff are always happy to help. 10/10

Intimate club to enjoy a concert. Good acoustics, lots of parking.

Great venue for live music. Relaxed vibe with good food and local beer selection on tap.

As a graduate student, the grad club is one of my favourite places to be on campus since the has a very home-y feel. Amazing drinks with a great selection of craft beers on top. They have an awesome daily drink special "grad hour" for cheap drinks 4-8pm. Daily food specials are always awesome. Perfect place to do work and grab lunch during the day, and to hang out with friends in the evening. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a cool place to have a drink with friends. Slightly older crowd, not many undergrad students, and the vibe reflects that. It's more of a drink and chat with friends kind of place. They have a few different craft brews on tap, and the food is pretty good as well.

UPDATE: Their new french fries are unreal. I know a lot of people complain about wanting the old style fries but they are always a hit and miss. I go here for the fries now - they are just that good. Classic pub fare. Good for a lunch meal and a lunch beer. Always a nice selection of taps.
