The Garrison Hotel, An Ascend Hotel Collection Member

This was my first stay at a Garrison Hotel. I visited Dover, NH to see family, and was very pleased. The location was perfect. Not too far from Rochester or Portsmouth. The employees are very nice. They also genuinely care about making sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. The allowed me to have an early check in and a late checkout. I had a room with a queen bed. The bed was comfortable, The furniture and amenities are nice quality, and the TV even had showtime and other premium channels. Finally, the prices are very competitive. I would highly recommend the Garrison Hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Dover!

The staff was great. Very pleasant and professional. But there were issues. The room had disconnected plumbing in the sink but they gave us the adjoining room to use as well, since we needed the roll in shower in the first room. The lift in the pool was not working and they were not able to correct the problem. At breakfast, the tables were not wiped down between diners and the only one available was quite nasty. We took breakfast back to the room. Not a bad experience but not an outstanding one.

Brand new hotel in a great location! Friendly and courteous staff greeted me upon arrival. I was impressed by the size and cleanliness of the room. Green space out back, an indoor pool, small workout facility and continental breakfast in the morning, were convenient amenities. Barely a skip and a hop to downtown Portsmouth, via Uber, and not far from Dover center. Being from New England, the Dunk'n Donuts, located just off the traffic circle, was an exciting discovery, upon arrival. Would recommend to a friend and will definitely be staying here again!

Didn't spend much time at the hotel but comfortable accommodations. An espresso machine in the lobby was a nice bonus compared to the usual lousy coffee. Off-season rates are pretty reasonable too.

This place is newly opened, and very nicely done. The decor is charming, and the place has a subtle nautical theme. The rooms are excellent, the beds comfy and plush. There's a continental breakfast in the morning, with a wide array of foods and drinks. For the price, this place is well worth it. I'm looking forward to staying here again soon!
