The Fox Den

I had no booking for the day but went for dinner on my own as I was on a work trip and was given a table immediately. The staff came to let me know what the specials were on the menu and had no issues when I asked for an alteration to my meal. It came out quickly, hot and high quality. The batter on the Halloumi fries was to die for and the steak was wonderful! The place was really clean and tidy and the staff were really friendly! 10/10 would recommend.

We were welcomed quickly and courteously upon our arrival, shown to our table and provided with menus. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient in taking our orders for drink and food. The food was amazing!! Wonderful flavours, beautifully cooked and plenty of it. The atmosphere was very cosy and comfortable. We felt relaxed and were in no rush to leave. The toilets were clean, tidy and well-stocked. We would definitely return and absolutely recommend you to all.

My friends and I stopped by for dinner before the Flyers game. Everything was very tasty and the atmosphere was very cozy. My pudding was almost too adorable to eat and tasted even better than it looked. Definitely will be returning.

A really nice and tidy pub with an allocated car park, free for 5hrs stay and a beer garden. Food served quickly, a good selection of drinks and food. Open fireplaces for a great atmosphere for cold days.

Very nice atmosphere and great dishes!! The scalop and shrimp started was great. Fish n chips and Chicken schnitzel were amazing!

We went there on the 15th of august for our anniversary meal. I must say it was first class we where greeted as we walked in and shown our table. The staff was amazing and and very professional as for our meal there’s definitely no complaints at all. I had fish and triple cooked chips and my wife had lasagna it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning

Two stars is possibly generous but the waiting staff were nice. Asked for the child's food to come out ASAP and it came with everything else around 45 minutes later. We ordered 2 steaks. Both massively overcooked. I asked for mine medium and it was burnt on the outside and grey inside. Could barely get the knife through it. My partner asked for rare and it was medium at best. We'd been travelling all day so starving and didn't want to wait another hour for food. They did warn us there would be a wait but cooking the steaks as ordered would have taken less time

My wife and I decided we would like to go to one of our favourite restaurants for a meal The Fox Den but on this occasion we felt let down when we got there. We were greeted by a nice young lady who showed us to our table and took our drinks order but from then onwards things went down hill. A waiter came across and asked us if we had decided what we would like from the menu. I asked if they had a festive menu we could order from. The waiter replied there was but that we weren't allowed to order anything from it as we hadn't booked a table on line. I pointed out that on the original menu it says ask for a festive menu if required but yet again using his exact words he said it was not allowed. We were really disappointed but decided to pick something fro the original menu. We waited 20 minutes but nobody came to take our order or even ask if we would like more drinks. In the end I had to go to the bar and order our drinks and food. We often visited The Fox Den for dinner but unfortunately won't be going back again.

Visited here with my son for an early dinner - not booked a table however we were accommodated with a table for two hours. Staff were very friendly and the food was cooked well and tasty. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we sat by the real fire. Felt very comfortable, good food, pleasant staff and nice atmosphere - will return soon.

Went for a meal with a group of friends. I had the seabass, which was delicious. My husband had the rib eye steak cooked as suggested but found it a little tough. I did think the prices were quite high! Lovely venue and very attentive servers.
