Top tier and very professional staff. Everytime we needed help or to request something it was taken care of instantly. The atmosphere was very calm and polished.nThe entire castle was very clean and stylish, as well as the rooms there. I personally love vintage decor and these rooms did not dissapoint. They looked like something straight out of a movie.nI got a massage at the spa and it was wonderful. My masseuse was very good at customizing my massage to what i needed.nThe food the entire stay was also perfect everytime.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Fort Garry Hotel. The rooms were unbelievably gorgeous—elegant, comfortable, and full of character. The rich history of the hotel truly makes it one of a kind and adds such a unique charm to the entire experience.nnBreakfast was phenomenal, with excellent quality and service. A special thank you to Eva P. for all the support and care she provided throughout our stay. Her attention to detail and kindness made our experience even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to return!
I stayed at the Fort Garry Hotel for about a month, and it remains one of my best hotel experiences. The historic building has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were consistently attentive throughout my stay. Afterward, I moved to the Residence Tower for a few more months, and the experience stayed just as positive — quiet, comfortable, and very convenient for long‑term living.nnThe amenities here are excellent. The indoor pool and wellness facilities are a real highlight, especially during the winter months in Winnipeg. Indoor parking is easy and reliable, which makes a big difference when the weather turns cold. The location was also perfect for me — just a short walk to Union Station, which made getting to and from work incredibly convenient.nnBetween the spa, the fitness centre, the location, and the overall sense of care from the team, the hotel became a place that genuinely felt like home during my time in the city. I’m grateful for the hospitality and would happily return.nnUpdate: Thank you so much for the kind message. I genuinely appreciated the warmth and consistency your team showed throughout my stay. My stay at the Fort Garry Hotel was overall good. I really appreciated the text message communication throughout the stay and found that very helpful. Parking was convenient as well. Both the upper outdoor parking and the indoor garage worked well, though there was more space available upstairs.nnI loved the history of the room and the character of the hotel. The lobby was especially beautiful and really stood out as part of the experience.nnHowever, the room was very loud until around 12 a.m. It felt like there may have been a concert or event happening in the hotel, and the noise was a disturbance, especially considering the price we paid for the room.nnThe washroom was the most disappointing part of the stay. It felt quite dated and in need of significant work, which did not match the cost of the room or the overall quality of the hotel.nnAlso, the seven dollar Jackson Spring water that are placed in the rooms felt a bit disrespectful although I did laugh about it afterward.
I had such a wonderful stay at the Fort Garry Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the historic charm and warm, attentive staff made me feel completely at home. The service was exceptional—everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. My room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and I loved starting my mornings in the beautiful Oval Room—the breakfast and atmosphere were unforgettable. The spa was another highlight, offering a relaxing break that made my stay feel extra special. The décor throughout the hotel is stunning, full of character and thoughtful detail. The location is perfect for exploring downtown. I can’t wait to come back!
