Just not 4 stars anymore. Our heater made a noise and woke me up in the middle of the night for 3 nights in a row. All the drawers in the dresser were broken off the brackets completely broken so if you tried to open the drawers they would literally just fall out or get stuck and once it fell and pinched my finger really bad. Valet guys are great but shocking they only have 1 guy working most of the time they can’t keep up at all. I walked into the lounge a few times and no workers were there and I had to wait 5 minutes. You get staff saw me waiting at the bar and just turned back to her other co worker and kept chatting for a few minutes. Just not experienced. That’s morning lounge staff . Evening lounge staff are perfection. Housekeeping is really good. Room service staff are so good. They got rid of the hot tub and the pool is colder now.nnThe menu is not what it used to be. I used to get so excited to go like the velvet glove and lounge was a fancy restaurant and now it’s so basic.
This is the way hotels should be run. Customer service was exceptional. Each staff member I interacted with was friendly, accommodating, and professional. My room was spacious, quiet, clean, and safe. I opted to self-park my car and that process was seamless, given that the parking garage is connected directly the hotel. Food was excellent. In-room dining was prompt, and the lounge and restaurant were wonderful. It’s true what some of the other reviews point out, that the guest rooms are a little outdated but overall, everything was nice and very comfortable. Fairmont sets the standard as a great hotel for the business traveler and families. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Winnipeg.
We have stayed at the Fairmont Winnipeg on many occasions now and have always been impressed by the service we receive from every member of the staff team. We were delighted with our early check in and the allocation of an upgraded corner room on account of my husband's platinum status. We were equally delighted that we could receive a complimentary breakfast on account of this status at the weekend. We loved the festive atmosphere at the hotel on this visit. Once more the staff at the Lounge bar were brilliant - thank you to them all but especially Daniel and Natalie. The Reception team are always super helpful and happy to answer any query - we would like to mention Zam and Ralph. And last but not least thank you to the housekeeping team - always so friendly and cheerful and our room was always immaculately made up!
Our team recently chose Jolly Gnome festive bar at The Fairmont to host a small retirement gathering for a valued colleague, and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. A special thank you to Ahmed, Juliana, Maya, Will, and everyone else who helped organize the event—you were exceptional! The venue had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and every detail was handled perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate this special milestone. Highly recommend!
Last Monday I’ve visited at fair mount hotel lounge for a casual drinks, and I was really impressed! The atmosphere is cozy yet lively.The bar staff was friendly and attentive, crafting some of the best cocktails I've had in a while.Bar girl Amelia thumbs up to her for handling the bar pressure. Manager came by to do the quality check. Great ambiencenDefinitely planning to come back soon
