Really enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Winnipeg. The location was perfect and within easy walking distance to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights as well as The Forks, and the Manitoba Museum among other things. The food at the restaurant was delicious although the coffee and tea could have been a bit hotter during breakfast. The service was impeccable. The room was really nice and the bed super comfortable. The lotion and body wash in the bathroom are the best smelling products of that sort I've ever used in a hotel. The entire staff were very friendly and very helpful when I asked them questions. Would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in the city and would highly recommend the hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was top-notch, and the food was delicious. Although the breakfast restaurant was technically closed, the staff accommodated us by allowing us to dine in, which was a huge plus. We appreciated not having to eat in our room. The welcome package was also a lovely touch - the fresh fruit, milk, and cookies were a lovely surprise. One of the highlights of our stay was the large swimming pool located on the top floor - it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.nOverall, a great experience!
I have stayed at the Fairmont on several occasions. On this particular stay I opted to stay on the Gold level. I had a certain expectation based on the cost of the room per night as well as this is an elevated experience over standard rooms.nI was quite disappointed with the cleanliness or lack there of within the space. The tub and surround were dirty, the shower curtain had previous guests hair or body wash all over it.nThe tub also sounded as if I was going to fall through into the suite below.nThe faucet was also near impossible to turn or operate and I am capable individual who stands well over six feet tall. I would hate to see my Mom try and turn that handle.nnAnother thing that was a giant inconvenience; Construction. Either the suite below or beside me was under construction. The sound of hammering and jack hammering was continuous until roughly dinner time.nnTerrible stay
I recently stayed at Fairmont Winnipeg, and while my experience was pleasant overall, there are a few areas that could be improved.nnFirst, I would suggest that the hotel provide a guide to nearby tourist attractions and activities in Winnipeg, as this would be helpful for visitors. It would also be beneficial to include information about nearby souvenir shops along with their opening hours. Since downtown features an indoor walking route, having a map of this route available would be convenient for guests.nnAnother issue was the cleanliness of the room upon arrival. I noticed dust all over the study table and the television stand, which was disappointing. The hotel could improve this by implementing a supervised room preparation process before guests arrive, especially considering I did an online check-in and they were aware of my arrival time in advance. The online check-in process specifically mentioned that it was meant to help prepare the room before my arrival.nnOverall, I appreciate the hotel's service and hospitality, but addressing these areas would make the stay even better.
Booked the Fairmont gold experience for a girls day with my mom. Rooms were pretty small. Only double beds. To my surprise, the toiletries were all Le Labo Rose 31 which is my favourite! Bathrobes and slippers were comfortable. Bedding was also comfortable. Decent location, sketchy at night. It’s downtown Winnipeg so it’s normal to be sketchy at night. Room service was good and the food was good too. Valet was also useful. Walking distance to other restaurants and you could also order food delivery. I loved the experience but I wouldn’t book it again because the price wasn’t worth it IMO. It’s a Fairmont though, so you know it’ll be expensive even before you book.
