We had a fantastic time staying at the Fairmont Winnipeg. From arrival to checkout, it was an elevated experience. We booked one night on the Gold Floor for our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival to our room, we found not one, but three hand-written cards from the hotel staff congratulating us on our anniversary and thanking us for celebrating it with them. I must have mentioned it when I called to book the room, but honestly I couldn't remember if I had. There was also a piece of cheesecake with Happy Anniversary hand-written in chocolate on the plate. I had never experienced that before! The concierge was great to chat with, the dinner and breakfast served on the Gold Floor was excellent, and every staff member we met were very friendly.nnTwo minor issues which could easily be fixed: the hotel pool was quite cold and the Sauna wouldn't heat up past 40*C. Perhaps because it is summer, the temperatures are intentionally kept cooler? It did nothing to take away from our wonderful experience.nnOverall, we would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to others.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was top-notch, and the food was delicious. Although the breakfast restaurant was technically closed, the staff accommodated us by allowing us to dine in, which was a huge plus. We appreciated not having to eat in our room. The welcome package was also a lovely touch - the fresh fruit, milk, and cookies were a lovely surprise. One of the highlights of our stay was the large swimming pool located on the top floor - it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.nOverall, a great experience!
Really enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Winnipeg. The location was perfect and within easy walking distance to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights as well as The Forks, and the Manitoba Museum among other things. The food at the restaurant was delicious although the coffee and tea could have been a bit hotter during breakfast. The service was impeccable. The room was really nice and the bed super comfortable. The lotion and body wash in the bathroom are the best smelling products of that sort I've ever used in a hotel. The entire staff were very friendly and very helpful when I asked them questions. Would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in the city and would highly recommend the hotel.
My first 24 hours at this hotel has been no short of perfect . I’m here on work and I’m exhausted . Everything has been as it needs to be ! Very comfortable clean and the room service has been on point . I recommend the eggs your way for breakfast , the stir fry bowl for lunch and the steak with a glass of Malbec for dinner. The staff are lovely and very good at their jobs. I’ve just come of 35 days of touring and different hotels this is by far the best the only things missing are a microwave and guest self use laundry BUT the room service is so good and there is the usual laundry service if you want that.
The staff truly went above and beyond. Upon arrival Thamisa asked what brought us to Winnipeg. I told her it was for our family vacation and mentioned how it was my kids first time in Canada. The next day we came back to treats in our room complete with decorations and souvenirs. We often tell our kids that people remember how they are treated. Our kids couldn't stop talking about how nice the staff was and how much fun they were having. We were constantly greeted by name and the valet service was excellent. Our room was clean and well appointed. We had 2 double beds so they were a bit on the small side but we made do. We loved the location and were within walking distance to The Forks and Manitoba Museum. Definitely will stay here again!
