I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Winnipeg! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the service throughout was excellent. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with great attention to detail.nnThe location is perfect—right in downtown Winnipeg, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions. The amenities were also impressive, especially the pool and fitness area. I really appreciated the little touches the hotel provides that make the experience feel special.nnOverall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend the Fairmont Winnipeg to anyone visiting the city!
First time staying at the Winnipeg Fairmont Hotel. When we arrived the front desk staff were Ralph great, they were able to get us our room early. The next day on our way out the wife noticed that was an afternoon tea. Ralph at the front desk was able to get us in last minute. The afternoon tea itself was great. Our server Rod did an awesome job ensuring all our needs were taken care of.nThanks again and we will see you next time we’re in townnKevin
The Fairmont Winnipeg offers a solid stay mainly because of its downtown location. You can walk to offices, events, and restaurants easily. Staff are polite and professional. Check in is smooth. The overall experience is acceptable.nnThe problem is value. The hotel charges premium rates, but the room condition does not support that price. You notice the gap quickly once you are inside the room.nnPros.n• Excellent downtown location.n• Easy access to work, dining, and events.n• Professional and courteous staff.n• Quiet rooms despite the busy area.nnCons.n• Curtains feel old and worn.n• Ceilings show visible age and maintenance issues.n. There is no hot tub or jacuzzi available. The sauna is operational, but one of the heaters is out of order.n• No USB C or modern charging outlets.n• No complimentary drinking water provided.n• Toilet water was constantly running during the stay.n• Room finishes feel dated for a brand.nnLocation and service add value, but they do not replace proper maintenance. When you pay at this level, you expect the physical condition to match the brand promise. With updates and basic fixes, this hotel could justify its pricing. Right now, the experience does not fully align with the value being sold.
It was our first time trying the Afternoon Tea, and the server that we had was amazing! The reception guy, John! Thank you for welcoming us with your beautiful smile!nThank you Joie for explaining everything well and being so patient since we have bunch of questions with regards to the menu. It is always so pleasant visiting The Fairmont. Will surely be back to experience Le Petite, since Joie recommended for that as well.nAlso, kudos to the chef for accommodating allergies and going over and beyond to create something so we can experience the whole afternoon tea.
We went to Fairmont, and it also happened to be the day before my birthday. I chose Fairmont because based on my experience with other Fairmont hotels, their facilities are well-maintained and their customer service is exceptional, very grand and impressive. But the one in Winnipeg wasn’t quite the same.nnThe room was okay, but it felt outdated and really needed an upgrade. The lobby also felt dull and a bit sad. The sauna and pool were just average, not really what you would expect from a five-star hotel.nnThe room I booked included breakfast, and the food choices were good. The server and hostess were both pleasant and attentive. When we entered the room, they had prepared a bday plate for me, which was a thoughtful touch.
