The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Winnipeg downtown is a 11 story, 3 star Hotel that integrates accommodation and meeting spaces with friendly and efficient service to provide our guests with an outstanding and relaxing experience.
We offer 140 non-smoking guestrooms including 20 king executive suites, and 2 king boardroom suites. Our meeting room is 740 square feet.
Our location is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Winnipeg among all most popular attractions in the city.
We are only a few steps away from the MTS center, the WAG, the Legislative Building, the University of Winnipeg, the vibrant Exchange District, Portage Place Mall, Hudson's Bay, and within 40 dining and bar options in walking distance!
Most of downtown attractions are accessible through the indoor skywalk to catch right across the street. How more convenient could it be?

Everything in this building is super dated. Needs a renovation big time. The 2 elevators are slow, finicky, and generally don’t feel safe and steady. They have a pretty late check-in time of 3pm, and one of our two rooms were not ready. The two rooms on the third floor are also inconsistent. Prices and room choices were exactly the same, but one room had carpet and the other had hardwood floors, as well one had a microwave and the other didn’t. In the carpeted room, it looked like there was questionable substances caked into the carpet, and the rooms itself was not very clean.nnI could also hear the shower turning on in the room beside mine.nnBeware that the surrounding area is quite sketchy. I felt unsafe walking outside.nnTheir only saving graces are that the front desk staff are friendly & helpful, their beds are decently comfy, and they change towels daily.nnOverall, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.
I regret booking this hotel. The room itself was okay if dated. The chair in the room is not fit to sit on. The common areas are really lacking. The hallway on the 8th floor has really badly installed carpet, it also smelled really strongly of weed. The lobby is dirty, a dog had an accident at around 10 am and when I checked out at 4pm nobody cleaned up. I left to a different hotel, I did not want to stay.
Turned out to be perfect for our needs. The room was very clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I read about parking issues, being a member we got free parking. One small issue, the windows do not block out much from the road noise so if you are sensitive, ask for something not facing the street.
Good clean, safe, hotel with good service. The restaurant is very expensive and the food is terrible so don't bother there though. If you need to be at the hospital a cab costs 10$ so it's a safe, clean option..
Workers were fine. There were two elevators, but only one worked. Closet was broken before I arrived. I would never stay here again.
