The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Winnipeg downtown is a 11 story, 3 star Hotel that integrates accommodation and meeting spaces with friendly and efficient service to provide our guests with an outstanding and relaxing experience.
We offer 140 non-smoking guestrooms including 20 king executive suites, and 2 king boardroom suites. Our meeting room is 740 square feet.
Our location is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Winnipeg among all most popular attractions in the city.
We are only a few steps away from the MTS center, the WAG, the Legislative Building, the University of Winnipeg, the vibrant Exchange District, Portage Place Mall, Hudson's Bay, and within 40 dining and bar options in walking distance!
Most of downtown attractions are accessible through the indoor skywalk to catch right across the street. How more convenient could it be?

Downtown Winnipeg Holiday Inn is centrally located, close to University of Winnipeg and walking distance to the legislative building and The Forks. Security is tight and staff are polite, responsive and respectful. The bar is open until 9:30, it has a pool. The rooms are huge and if lucky you’ll get a view of the legislative building which is beautifully lit at night.
Ivan Lam and the team at Holiday Inn & Suites Winnipeg-Downtown go out of their way to make you feel at home. And when you're traveling, that is the BEST feeling.nnWe recently stopped by to take photos of our PTAC units in a staged room environment. Not only did Ivan open NEW rooms for us to take photos, he also provided us with whatever we needed to make them fantastic. Thank you, Ivan, for showing our team such great hospitality.nnWe are proud to work with this property and look forward to supplying them with whatever PTAC related product or service they need in the future.nnDefinitely worth the stay.
Everything in this building is super dated. Needs a renovation big time. The 2 elevators are slow, finicky, and generally don’t feel safe and steady. They have a pretty late check-in time of 3pm, and one of our two rooms were not ready. The two rooms on the third floor are also inconsistent. Prices and room choices were exactly the same, but one room had carpet and the other had hardwood floors, as well one had a microwave and the other didn’t. In the carpeted room, it looked like there was questionable substances caked into the carpet, and the rooms itself was not very clean.nnI could also hear the shower turning on in the room beside mine.nnBeware that the surrounding area is quite sketchy. I felt unsafe walking outside.nnTheir only saving graces are that the front desk staff are friendly & helpful, their beds are decently comfy, and they change towels daily.nnOverall, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.
I stayed in this hotel for a night. At first, I was given a room in the 11th Floor. The room was not clean, was smelly, the carpets were dirty. The couch was dirty and worn out. I asked to be given another room. I was given a room in the 6th Floor. Again the room was not clean and the couch was dirty. The carpets in the hallways are dirty and badly stained.
The team providing service for us went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of.nnWe are from the US and this was our first experience traveling outside of our country. It was nice to have such kind, caring people looking out for us.
