I don't normally leave reviews but this place is NOT worth the price.nnStayed here for 4 nights to attend a conference held on the 2nd floor. They served the same breakfast for the conference every morning which became bland. I made it clear I have dairy allergies so they prepared a dairy free plate before every meal but each plate still contained dairy. It was as if they didn't know what dairy was. The food was okay at best. There are no microwaves in the room which is weird. Probably a technique to force people to eat at their over priced restaurant. We had to request one and it came to us dirty. It clearly isn't something they do often. They stock the fridge with their own alcohol and water so it leaves little room for your own stuff. We also didn't have hot water for 12 hours due to an issue with the hot water tank. The staff overall were nice and the room was nice.
I have been here 3 times over the years. This was where I was booked by client. It would not be my choice of hotel. Next time I will stay elsewhere out of pocket rather than here. Rooms are ok. Gym is way too small and not really good for much other than a little cardio which is disappointing. Previously used spa which was good. Location is best part but to me that is not an overriding factor as I would rather take an uber that pick a hotel based on location. Housekeeping this last time, I had request light on all day to clean room yet they didn't show up till 5pm to clean room which I was back already then so had to forgo that. Forgot a dental guard this last trip supposedly sent back October 12 yet not received. Tracking number they gave doesn't work and can't resolve, so I guess I will eat the $1,000 to get a new one now. Yes, my fault I forgot it but when I get charged for courier fee to return and they can't use a reputable company and housekeeping could care less as to any urgency. Not a place I would recommend.
We stayed two nights at this hotel, and the staff were very pleasant. The stay was great value for the price. I accidentally left a small book in the room, and the staff were very helpful in locating it. I’ll definitely stay here again next year. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant experience in Winnipeg as it’s close to everything, with many sights just a short walk away.
Fabulous and elegant hotel.nThe aroma as you enter is soothing and inviting. The room was modern and very classy. We ordered dessert from the in house restaurant and it was delicious. I have shared a few photos from our room of the exterior grounds.
My experience at Inn at the Forks was far below expectations. We found lice in our room, and it was clear housekeeping had not cleaned properly since previous guests’ belongings were still there. The mini fridge overheated, and the beds were uncomfortable for us. I also may have had a bag stolen—I asked the front desk to check for it a few hours after leaving, but nothing was found. We ended up spending part of our wedding night picking through our hair for lice, which was the worst possible way to end what should have been an amazing day.nThe only positive was the great location, but the overall stay was not a good experience.
