AMAZING FOOD! AMAZING STAFF! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!  Our Waitress Hanna was also.... AMAZING. As was the other staff stopping by and asking how we were doing and how the food was etc   Even stayed late so we didnt have to rush to enjoy our great food.  We are from way up north and will definitely be back again when we visit family.

Stopped in here for lunch today, and overall we were disappointed. First let me say the service was great, everyone we encountered were friendly and offered great service. The points deducted were entirely the food, and value.  We ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries and a Rueben Sandwich with fries. The Root beer was completely flat, which was quickly exchanged for a cranberry juice, no problem.  The fries on both plates were terrible, dry and chalky and had clearly been sitting and reheated in the fryer. If you're charging $17 for a sandwich and fries, you should really make sure that the fries are on point. Especially when your food cost on the fries is 10 cents.  The coleslaw was nice but lacked flavor, but the pulled pork sandwich was quite good, but was very small / not much pork for $16. The Rueben Sandwich was lacking in meat quantity for $17, the quality of the meat was good, however they placed the sauce and saurkraut on the bottom which resulted in a soggy, wet piece of bread on the bottom of the sandwich, not pleasant and not easy to eat. Also there was no cheese "to speak of" on the sandwich, yes it was there but barely noticeable.  If you're going to charge $17 for a sandwich and fries for lunch, it better be a damn good sandwich and fries. These were not. And serving those fries was unacceptable given the price they're charging.  Overall very disappointing lunch, we've had much better quality and value for $40. Maybe their dinner service is better but we likely will not be back to give them another try.

We drove out there on our bikes from Windsor and it was well worth it. I had the Duke burger and out was great. The staff was great. Can't tell the story though but it was a good one. I would recommend this place for sure.

Thank goodness they were open later then the usual 10pm like everywhere else! There Bruschetta and Bifana was amazing! Hannah was an amazing waitress, even though she forgot an order and cutlery! Wouldn’t recommend there microwave pretzel plate was good taste just very tough ! Still raving about the bruschetta

Wonderful hidden gem in downtown Strathroy, fast service with a smile, friendly waitress and the owner/manager stops by your table to ensure you are happy with the service and the food.  Will definitely return on our next trip from Sarnia.  Update Sept 26, 2022 As promised we did stop in on our next trip to Strathroy from Sarnia and once again had a great lunch with fast efficient service Had the Philly Cheese Sandwich and Buffalo Chicken Wrap both tasty and plentiful.  Busy lunch hour doesn't slow the team down, the young lady and the owner/manager make sure everyone is happy with their meal and the service.

I had a dinner with coworkers this past weekend. The restaurant was packed with a lineup at the door. Despite being very obviously slammed our food was amazing and service impeccable. The portions were good and a few of us took leftovers home. I will be back with my family for sure.

Food was delicious, friendly service. We enjoyed ourselves.

Hello D.II, My name is Rick Pereira, Owner of The Duke. We take pride in our food as it is all homemade not from M&M’s or out of a box frozen. I notice by looking at other reviews you seem to enjoy complaining and bashing pretty well anywhere you get food or drink from. Most of these places you are complaining about are very busy which means maybe they are doing something right. It seems to me with the amount of complaints I see from you maybe best to cook for yourself if everywhere you go the food isn’t good and is overpriced in your opinion. You have a good night. Thanks

Ordered takeout while visiting my in-laws.  The worst pub food I have ever eaten!!  My partner ordered the nachos and I purchased the chicken wings.  The nachos and salsa came from a box, and the chicken wings were probably from M&M's.  Seriously??  They have the nerve to charge those prices and not make homemade food???  Never again!

Both the food and service are excellent.  We don't live in the area but have family that do. Always enjoy dining there when we visit.
