Story

The Dragon is Guelph's only comics and games store. We opened in 1998 and are now operating in 2 locations, Downtown and at Gordon & Kortright. We are a Will Eisner Spirit of Comic Retailing Award winner!

We are chock-full of amazing and wonderful things, and we run gaming events 4 days a week! Check us out!

If you ever want to enter a world of adventure, look no further than The Dragon. It is more than a "comic book store" which is how I hear a number of people describe it. For years, since my kids were young, I've leaned on the incredible staff here to make suggestions for various books and series that even the pickiest and uninterested of readers in my family couldn't put down. The staff always goes above and beyond and the adventures in the pages they recommend, in my experiences are some of the most incredible reading can offer. Highly recommend a visit even to just satisfy your curiosity!

Great store. Great staff. Love the atmosphere and so do my kids. Doesn't always have stock of recent comics but their staff will gladly order in anything they don't have.
I attempted to order some spray primer online but unfortunately due to shipping policy of Canada post, FedEx, etc. they were unable to ship the product to me. Although throughout the whole process I could tell that Amy was doing the best she could for me and was trying every option she could. They provided very good correspondence and I think from all of these interactions they are a good company to deal with!
Every time I go downtown I stop there with my daughter reminiscent of my times playing Pokémon card games 20 years ago. Pleasant, polite and always hook up my kid with a comic for kids. They have a kids area it's truly bomb
Drove 40 minutes to come check this place out tonight. I called at 5:40 to double check where they were located inside of a mall and the person I spoke to didn't mention they were planning on closing an hour early tonight. We arrived at the store about 20 mins later, and while we were looking through their comics right outside their doors, someone walked over and shut the door. I called and was told they were closing early something to do with holiday staffing ect, but we could come in if we were going to be quick. Being that we wanted to properly check this place out, and now knowing we would be inconveniencing the people wanting to leave we decided to just leave. Waste of paid parking, and a huge waste of time. Maybe a heads up that they were closing an hour early would have been nice so we didn't go through the hassle of coming here. We'd love to check this place out once they have their business hours sorted out
Lots of product. Large open clean store. Knowledgeable staff. Would give 5 stars if they accepted singles trade in or exchange
Great store - lots of variety for any game or hobby you're into. My boys like to go there for the pokemon cards and d&d miniatures. Employees there are always friendly.
A fun place that is part comic shop, game store, meeting place, gaming space and more. The downtown Guelph location is in a mall that is serviced by public transit and is accessible. There are cards, collectibles, neat gift ideas, the occasional free giveaway and a community of people who are friendly and knowledgeable and approachable - I dare say that there is a community feeling. The retailer can order games and items, and staff are interested in being helpful and available. They will even source an answer for you if they don't have one, themselves. You'll have to check gaming times online - not sure when card games run, and I thought I heard that they have an open gaming time on Sundays, where people can learn and try games. Worth checking out.
Staff are patient and super helpful. A delightful selection of gaming supplies, books, comics, toys, clothing and accessories.
