A small but cute book store. Staff is very helpful.
A little hidden gem in this plaza dominated by market fresh! The prices of the books are a little higher than what you would normally find for a used book store, but the selection is great and the staff here are always lovely and very helpful! Support this little local business and read more, it’s a win-win! Personally love checking out their Mystery section

This second-hand bookstore has an ample supply of kids' books and art books, and so I left laden down with quite a lot. Very friendly, helpful, and informative staff person, who kindly took down some titles I was looking for and gave us some local intel. How many second-hand bookstores have a digital catalogue? The only other one I know of is in Calgary btw.
Great shop, knowledgeable staff. I picked a book at random and the guy running the cash was able to tell me about the author. Skillz! Good selection hardcover and soft.
A lovely bookstore! Janus Books has a great selection and knowledgeable staff who go the distance to help you find what you're looking for. I had lost one of my Harry Potter books and they had stopped printing the particular style of covers. Instead of re-buying the whole series, I stopped in at Janus Books and a very kind woman helped me find a replacement! As I was browsing, she stopped to let me know she had found one of the same series that was marked at a lower price. She handed it to me to make sure I liked the quality and then switched it out for me. This kind gesture made my visit especially memorable : I'll be coming back and encouraging my book-loving friends to do the same! Definitely stop in if you love books... this is a great store run by great people.
I recently placed an online order with them as the store is not open due to the COVID situation. Their online selection was really great, there were a lot of different genres and books to choose from. The books were delivered to my porch within 24 hours and were all in amazing condition. They were priced really well, especially considering they were in basically mint condition. I will definitely be purchasing from Janus Books again!
My favorite book store in Guelph. Has that feel of a place where you can browse the shelves and let yourself be excited by a new book. The $1-2 rack outside is great for picking up a bunch of stuff for summer reading. The staff are really friendly, the owner is a very neat guy to get to know. Feels very local and friendly as a whole.
So incredibly grateful for this company, I love books but I love them more when they’re gently used. Fast and reliable service
It’s a lovely store, but I was quite disappointed in not being able to return a book I had purchased only 10 minutes previously. I noticed that it was inscribed only after I had bought it and didn’t want it as such. I realize a return option at a used book store would make little sense, however a 10 minute grace period would certainly have made this be a 5 star review. That store employee was friendly throughout.
