This was the original University of Guelph Bookstore. It was started by students who did not want to have to go into Toronto to buy textbooks. It is still run by students. It is clean, friendly, and in my experience, less expensive than the other store. The staff here really know what they're talking about and are not just clerks. I graduated from Guelph. In certain classes my classmates were angry at how much less I paid for the same book compared to the other store.
This bookstore is located in the basement of the building off the footpath. Know what books you need come with a list staff will retrieve books for you and you will be on your way in no time. Memberships are offered for a price that reduces your overall book cost should you be taking a full course load.
worst customer service, manager Debra is horrible. Charged for book, then once you get there, "Sorry, no book" no help. Left crying. Could have subbed a new book, but, manager Debra didnt care, even thou test is tomorrow. So much for serving Guelph students. Shop elsewhere!
Never have they ever run out of stock on the 200 dollar textbooks that I 'need' to complete a course. : They also have a sweet collection of UoG swag and a lot of student essentials on the main floor!
