I booked an appointment with Gina at the Downtown Sports Clinic after a recommendation from a friend. I've had nothing but a great experience so far helping me get back to normal from a shoulder issue. I highly recommend booking in with Gina! She is an extremely knowledgeable and kind physiotherapist at the downtown sports clinic. She has been able to provide a wide range of exercises and guides me through each step of the process. My shoulder is feeling significantly better in less than three weeks, which is way better than I could have imagined. The team here is also very nice and welcoming! I highly recommend to friends and family.
Christian is an all round awesome coach: he is incredibly kind, patient, personable, knowledgeable, observant, inclusive, and experienced. I've been lifting for over 5 years and know a lot about the sport, yet found our sessions where he watched over my form to ensure I was doing lifts safely to be incredibly helpful and informative. In fact, I ended up scheduling 3 sessions in just 2 months. Through his feedback, cues which he also emailed, and homework, I ended up increasing my estimated 1 rep max bench press by 15 pounds to a total of 300! I'll definitely be coming back for more coaching, and I recommend him to all my friends that also work out
I cannot say enough good things about everyone at this clinic, I have seen Janine Physio, Kristen Massage, and Samara Dietician. Everyone from the Admin team to every practitioner consistently provide high level of care. I was impressed because the practitioners are all individually skilled, but they also communicated with each other to better understand what I was dealing with and build off each other. It was great to receive what felt like well-rounded treatment from a team that cares about helping me reach my goals.
I saw Christian here and he is an absolute gem. He truly cares about your recovery and will do everything he can for the best outcome. He is also very knowledgeable in his field and compassionate to boot. I have seen a few physios in the past and can confidently say that you couldn't ask for a better physio than Christian.
I have been coming to this clinic for 14 years, and they are phenomenal. Sonja and Marla are always kind and very helpful. Both for physiotherapy and massage therapy, it is hard to find anywhere else that compares. I also appreciate the text message reminders the day prior. I highly recommend this clinic.
I was treated by both Christian and Janine after a car hit me while cycling. This was for both physio therapy and concussion over a 4 month period. Both are very funny, easy to talk to, and incredibly good at what they do. I hade some acute injuries that Christian was able to identy and noticeably improve over a few weeks. I also highly recommend concussion therapy if you have had one. I had lingering balance and vision issues that I wasn't actually aware of. Once treated my overall stress levels and concussion symptoms greatly improved.
I came here after four months of a persistent injury and unsuccessful treatment at a different clinic. Christian was able to diagnose me within 15 minutes of our first session. After figuring out the physical injury, he also asked how I felt about it - it was refreshing to discuss my hopes and fears surrounding recovery. Subsequent sessions were as great as the first. Christian is always cracking jokes, telling you stories through tricky IMS moments, walking you through exercises, and giving you all the tough love you need to get better. He's exactly who you want by your side when you're down and he'll cheer you on till you're back in action.
I came to see Christian for a shoulder issue. I do powerlifting and was having pain training. Christian went above and beyond in his treatment and approach. I saw a lot of progress with his exercise plan and treatment and was able to keep making progress and reduce pain throughout my training block, thanks to him. I really appreciated his compassionate, and informative approach to things and I would highly recommend him!
Christian Boivin is great! I've been seeing him for about 6 weeks after suffering a severe back injury playing Rugby. He got to the root cause of the problem and provided me with affective treatments to reduce the pain and get me back to normal. Highly recommend!
