Story

At Calgary Core Physiotherapy, we have created a clinic where clients can see what a difference it makes in their injury recovery when you combine the skills to heal and the spirit to care.

Our desire is to make a positive impact on our downtown community, all 4 quadrants of Calgary, and beyond. Yes, this is a large area to consider, but our clientele has come from as far away as BC, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories! Our clinic is easily accessible for both downtown workers as well as those who live in the outskirts of the city.

Our vision is to bring together an amazing group of physiotherapists who are highly-skilled, respected in the medical community, and who know how to really care and have compassion for their patients. We also are always extremely grateful and fortunate to have a top-notch administrative staff to help our clients with all the non-clinical support.

Our mission is to provide superior physiotherapy services with the utmost competency, integrity, and personalized care. We want to exceed our clients’ expectations and help them achieve optimal, pain-free living. Simply put, our focus is always the client and their health.

I have been going to Calgary Core for treatment with Elliott for a while now and i can say with all honesty that he has helped me immensely. I have had treatment from many therapists over the years and those visits seemed to be temporary fixes, only to re-emerge again later with more severity. Once i moved to Calgary Core Elliott was very thorough and listened to my feedback, and with consistent treatment he really helped me to feel like a functional person again. I would highly recommend this business to anyone needing physical therapy, particularly those who are struggling with issues that don't seem to ever get resolved. This clinic is not operating under the same old physiotherapy model and it shows!
I have been a patient of Elliott’s for many years now and can highly recommend him. He is professional, knowledgeable and caring. Many of my friends, relatives and colleagues see him for their various physio issues and injuries. Calgary Core Physiotherapy’s staff are friendly and check-in and check-out takes only seconds. I've been going Calgary Core to see Jonathan Glass for 3 years now. I've had two accidents and the service and progress I have had is all thanks to him. He's been very understanding and is incredibly good at what he does. He walks you through everything and how it has an impact on your injuries and your goals. I recommend him to everyone I know! I have been to Calgary Core Physio to treat several injuries with Ian Goodwin. Ian is professional, personable and has a talent for finding the root cause of an injury. His time treating a huge number of world class athletes has given him so much experience and he has effectively cured me of many physical issues. I enjoy our chats even more than the treatment quite often! The staff at this clinic are all great, the e-receipts and direct insurance billing are much appreciated. It’s also great that this clinic is so bright, clean and located near a ton of easy parking.
I’ve been going to Core Physiotherapy off and on for about four years. They have successfully helped me recover from several physical issues during this time which has allowed me to maintain an active lifestyle. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. The physiotherapists are very knowledgeable and spend the necessary amount of time diagnosing and treating you. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences and strongly recommend them.
The staff at Calgary Core Physio are amazing. The front desk staff are always pleasant to deal with and very helpful. All the physiotherapists are absolutely wonderful! I was dealing with very painful planter fasciitis for 10 months. Iris was able to fix me up in a few sessions allowing me to return to my regular activity pain free! I can't thank them enough and would not hesitate to recommend Calgary Core Physio!
In June of 2021, I separated my rib from the cartilage in a Muay Thai sparring session. Almost 6 months after the injury, I still had pain and mobility issues. I couldn’t sleep on my right side or stomach or twist in one direction for almost half a year. I seen another physiotherapist, a chiropractor, and a doctor; no one could give me a solution to my rib problem. I was close to accepting the fact that it was just something I was just had to live with. I’m very happy that I then decided to try out Core Physiotherapy and started working with Elliot Goldman. After listening to my story, he knew exactly what the problem was and confirmed it after doing a few tests with me. It was a relief that someone knew a clear path to recover for me. Even after walking out of there on my first visit my rib felt like it had improved more than it had in months. After a short time of following his program for me and periodic check ins, my rib is finally back to normal. Now I’m able to live my life and play sports again with confidence that my rib is secure. Thank you Elliot! I would highly recommend Calgary Core Physiotherapy. It super convenient for anyone who works downtown since it is connected to the plus 15. The people who work at the front desk are great and make booking and billing a seamless process. Overall, great physiotherapy practice.
Core Physio has been fantastic. I was able to get in on short notice the first time to see Alex about a neck problem I was having. Managed to fix a bunch of other lingering issues I have had for years over the following appointments. Front desk staff super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend Core for any Physio needs!
I went for my first physio appointment mid December barely able to move my arm from a shoulder injury. I’ve had 4 appointments since then and the difference I feel is night and day. Elliott has been fantastic, I had a seriously noticeable difference in the pain I was experiencing after every appointment and the exercises he recommended were effective and easy to follow.
Elliott Goldman is very professional and knowledgeable, he made me feel at ease from my first appointment. I was having a lot of knee pain and it is so much better after just a few Shockwave Therapy treatments. I would not hesitate to recommend Elliot and the Calgary Core Physiotherapy Clinic.
