Went for the first time on a Saturday night and it was a great experience. I highly recommend going! It’s a neat idea for a Friday or Saturday night opposed to going to a bar. They had an awesome selection of drinks (many were really tasty), fantastic cheesecake, and most importantly, their comidians for the night were all hilarious (so was the host).

My mom was visiting me from out of town so I splurged and took her out to the Triple Threat Tuesday at the Comic Strip in West Edmonton Mall. Best night!! The host Alex and the headliner were absolutely hilarious!! This is a must for anyone who has never been! Great nights guys, thank you!

I went there on New Years Day for the evening show with my girlfriend. We showed up at 645pm and there was 4 other people there. So 6 in total. When we sat down the server told us that we need to have 11 in total for the show to happen. We understood and said thanks for letting us know. As more people started showing up at about 715pm the server was now telling the new tables that we needed 15 for the show to go. So it was quite evident we got the feeling that they pretty much wanted to cancel it anyway... but they kept telling us that they will make the decision at 745pm. At 730 we had 12 people. We had 14 people at 740. At 744pm the server said it was last call for the kitchen but they still hadn’t made a decision yet on whether the show was going to go on. We obviously didn’t order food as we didn’t know if we were going to stay or not. I feel like whatever the protocol is in this situation was not very good. Either it’s 11 or 15 or 20 or whatever, but they basically made us stay there as long as they could and order drinks and in the end we pretty much knew it would be cancelled. We didn’t get a refund, they did however give us a coupon to come back another time (again they benefit). They told us that it was better to get the coupon because it can be used for any type of events, but I found out that pretty much any fri/sat we won’t be able to use it because it’s a special event. I had to ask them to extend the expire date on it as well just in case we didn’t use it before the 5 month Alan than was on the ticket. Overall I understand that it was not busy and they may not have made much money but I thought the entire situation could have been handled better and the communication could have been more clear. I also think due to the inconvenience of what happened, I would of thought we would of been able to use the free pass for any night, and that they may have provided something else for the inconvenience.

First time at the Comic Strip and certainly won’t be the last. Great setup and I couldn’t find a bad seat in the house. My only complaint is the drink service was slow to start but got better as the night went on. Definitely recommend for a date night or with a group of friends. Mark Normand was hilarious and was a great headline act!

Took my kids and husband for a night out. Loved the main act J. Lissow. We would definitely love to come back!
