The Breakfast Nook

Came here for a quick breakfast and oh wow it was out of expected - in a good way! Food: Service: Atmosphere: We ordered Breakfast Hash and the Bacon Benny, kinda pricey but good value. The hollandaise sauce was amazing! It’s very different from what we had in Vancouver, I love it when it has its own homemade, unique flavours. Also the hash was very tasty, it kept the original sweet taste of potatoes and I really enjoyed the whole thing! However coffee and tea were very average, kinda pricey compared to its quality. The service was nice, friendly and attentive. Overall I enjoyed the visit and recommended to try.

One of my favorite breakfast spots to stop in, I always order the Eggs Benedict anytime I go out for breakfast, and this is definitely one of the best I’ve ever had! The waffles were delicious too, the waitress was super friendly, and the service was prompt. I love their new location, it is super cute and cozy inside!

Looks like nothing from the outside, but can easily say this is THE best breakfast you'll eat in Nanaimo. The menu is small, but every item is cooked with such attention and detail. The hollandais sauce was made perfectly, the eggs cooked to order, the pancakes misshapen yet beautiful, the coffee so nice, the potatoes cooked with real butter. It feels like the food was made for you in your kitchen. The staff made us feel at home, less like they were serving us and more like we were family coming over for breakfast. I cannot say enough how perfect the Breakfast Nook was in every possible way!

I was in Nanaimo for a couple of days and found the place online. Such a great surprise! The food was delicious, the restaurant is cozy and our server was very friendly. Highly recommend! As you enter the place you can see it's a small operation so don't expect your food to be ready in 2 minutes and the server to be following up with you every second.

The Breakfast Nook is one of my all time favorite places to share with visitors while in Nanaimo. It's a cute, small local business that serves *delicious* breakfast options. I'd suggest trying the waffles, the Benny's, the hash; basically, you can't go wrong with any food choice they offer. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.Food: 5/5

We stopped here for breakfast when we were headed to Tofino. The waitress, the moment she saw us walking up to the restaurant, welcomed us with a great big smile and super friendly enthusiasm. The food was delicious. I had ordered a omelette, loaded it with ham, cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. My husband had a breakfast burrito which was also delicious. The food was great but the service made it better. The waitress with the tattoo of a frog is an absolute gem and set the tone for our day. We will definitely be stopping here again the next time we come to the island. Ps. Their toast is delicious, i had ordered a side order of it i don’t usually even enjoy toast much

I had a chance to eat breakfast here while staying in the Quality Inn for a day. A cute little diner kind of, used to be a stand alone diner but now part of the Quality Inn hotel since Aug. this year. The waitress, Kyla, is so nice, smiley, quick to serve customers and she handles all guests by herself alone. Food was great, two thumbs up to the chef impressive and well done. Good coffee, good atmosphere and vibe. They are also open 4-9pm for drink and appies. If you are coming to Nanaimo make sure to stop by specially for breakfast, trust me worth it well.

Used to be down the street I think but now inside the hotel. Nice space, big windows. The parkade entrance doesn't see a lot of traffic from what I can tell so the patio is nice. Omelette was great, service was friendly, coffee was good. Nice little spot even if it's not quite as quaint as the old location looked to be. Will go back

Great home style breakfast menu. Served with graciousness. Fair pricing. We'll definitely be going back!

I have been twice over a year. Wonderfully flavourful and satisfying food, and the friendliest service anywhere. I havent been in the evening but excited they have started evening hours for appies and drinks!
