For me it's the atmosphere. Cozy, right on the water, tea party, good company and good conversation type vibes. My grandparents and I have been coming here for many years just to enjoy. Grandparents had a sandwich and i had the soup. They enjoyed their sandwhich. My soup lacked depth and flavor but the food isn't what I come here for. Although I will say that's the freshest looking fruit I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. The diversity of the crowd is nice. I I like their desserts. Tea and desserts are the highlights for me. Try the carrot cake and peach cobbler!
Took my mom here for afternoon tea last year and I am loving the vibe of this place. It's so cute! They had a festive high tea featured during that time. They have a good selection of teas.. their sandwiches and scones were great but I wish they had a better variety of desserts especially since you are paying more for festive tea. However, it was beautifully presented and as it was my mom's first time, she really enjoyed it. When it was time to get the bill, it was really hard to get their attention because it got super busy. We had to wait quite a bit and ended up going to the front to pay instead. Otherwise, it was a good experience and would probably do it again if I'm in the area.
My mom decided to treat me to afternoon tea here for my birthday since we'd been wanting to try it for a while. The tea selection was great I had the peach sencha and it was divine, and the treats were great for the most part, though we couldn't really identify a flavor for the macarons - it was kinda odd but still nice. The only thing I will say is that service was incredibly slow, and it seemed like the staff didn't care to check up on us as much as they were everyone else around us which was again odd. I would still absolutely recommend this place and will be back for tea again sometime!
Many yummy options for a sunny Fall day. This single Country Pumpkin was $5.75 and a generous sized cone. I grabbed an oversized rock and sat by the river. The cones were popular the day I went, as there was a short line which moved in adequate time.
We had higher expectations based on other reviews. Cute place. Went for afternoon tea. Food wasn’t made there and definitely purchased at like Costco or somewhere and thrown on plates. Scones came with canned whip cream in a dish - overall just a very disappointing experience. No AC or fans inside, was super hot. Staff were slownAnd not attentive to our needs, took forever to flag someone down for our bill. Mediocre experience. Would not recommend.
