This was me and my wife’s first time coming to The Boathouse, and boy was it an extremely disappointing experience. This is the first time I’ve ever walked out of a restaurant and let me explain why. We arrived to the restaurant and sat down on our table at 6:45pm with menus given to us. Water was not poured for us until 6:54pm and we were informed (by someone that looks like a supervisor/manager) a server will be with us shortly. At 7pm, a server has yet to come take our order, so my wife and I decided to take off. It was not even busy in the restaurant at this time, I see only 4 tables occupied around me, and have seen two servers serving food to two other tables, twice. Does it take more than 15 minutes to get a server to come take your order? Was I wrong to expect better service or service comparable to The Keg or Joey’s? I would have hoped so, considering their pricing is not cheap. This experience definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

Food was excellent, staff very professional, pleasant and easy to talk to. Great location, with very nice water view. Also, very clean washroom, family room, tables, bar. My only problem was food in all dishes my family and I ordered for the money we had paid. I left the restaurant hungry, and I am sorry, but that's a big no-no for me.

It was my birthday and a few friends and I got together to have lunch and celebrate. But we were all very disappointed. Everything started out alright, until the waitress informed me that the crab cakes I ordered have been changed - but she assured me the only difference was they were baked and not fried anymore. That was far from the truth. The only come with 1 now instead of three, they taste completely different (and are bland as hell) AND they used to be served with mango salsa and now its just some diced plain tomatoes. We all ordered salmon for our entrees - each of them was really burnt and we couldn't eat all of it as you couldn't even cut parts of it. The seafood chowder was good and the dessert was fine as well. The server was very polite and attentive, so I a thankful for that. For the price, not worth it all. I am very disappointed and will no longer be dining at the Boathouse.

After visiting a few brew pubs we were looking for a place to eat. It was quiet here on a Tuesday night. Service was good and the food was too. Though we were surprised how sparse the side of fries was.

Take out food is not packed in the best way. The Manager must understand that the bread toast should be packed separately, the mussels that we ordered were 40% empty. A good place to rest inside, but I do not recommend ordering takeout.
