Romer's Burger Bar

Delicious options! Locally sourced, organic with great service. Nice restaurant, optional upstairs "Growler Room" for rental. Liberty Spirits Gin and Odd Society Vodka served here. Vegetarian options available. Recommend their deep fried pickles and burgers! 4 stars because the server and bartender would disappear every 5 minutes for 20 minutes.

Considering the onslaught of mediocre reviews, our visit here was a pleasant surprise! Our server was courteous, fast, and cheery. The portions of food were more than adequate as they delivered giant burgers topped with all kinds of cheeses, sauces, and veggies. The pricing was pretty average for bar fare; for a burger, fries and beer it cost about $20 per person. (To those complaining about the prices here, I'd recommend going to a McDonald's if you want a burger and fries for $10 or less!) In general, we were rather impressed and shall be returning in the near future!

Overpriced for an ok burger. Beer was good but other drinks seemed like premix. Staff was friendly enough. Honestly probably not going back unless we are desperate. I don't care if the beef is high quality if it is not the star and it clearly wasn't. Sides don't come with any of the burgers so expect to pay $25 or so for a burger with fries and a drink.

I really wanted to like Romer's. Unfortunately they are simply overpriced and use silly tactics to nickel and dime you. We went in for happy hour on a sunny Saturday, and ordered a pitcher of mojito's which the menu claimed served 4 drinks and was on special for happy hour. The waitress informed us that the happy hour price is only valid inside in the lounge. This was not indicated anywhere on the menu. We ordered it anyway at full price. When the drinks came, there was only enough for 2.5 drinks in the glasses we were given. We ordered a share bowl of onion rings with a burger. The burger was tasty but the onion rings worked out to be $1.50 per ring. Not worth it.

Now don't get me wrong the food is good but it's very pricey for a burger restaurant. Burgers are expensive. Any kind of sides, even fries, are extra... like around $4 extra and the portions are not worth that price. Two people eating with a drink each was an expensive dinner. Service and everything else was great. The food was seriously good but you can find good food lots of places for cheaper.
