The Boat

Great food with a stunning view!nThe staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. What makes it even more special is the amazing view.nHighly recommended for anyone who enjoys good food in a beautiful setting!

We recently dined at The Boat at the harbourfront, and while the service was friendly and efficient, the food was just okay—not the best, but not bad either. The prices were reasonable.nnHowever, if you’re expecting to dine on the boat itself, be aware that the restaurant has a rule that restricts seating to groups of 4 or fewer. Unfortunately, we couldn’t sit on the boat because of this.nnWhen we asked to be moved to a table with a better view, the hostess declined, saying it was in a different server’s section. It felt like they prioritized server assignments over improving our experience.nnSo, if dining on the boat is a must for you, keep that policy in mind before you go.

This place wins for the views. The food tastes good. We got burgers for our main and calamari to start. The calamari was the same price as the burger but was the size of our side that came with the burgers. I get that it’s seafood, but it was still surprising. We ordered cheese on our burgers for an extra cost but they forgot it. They did make sure not to charge us for it when we mentioned it so all good there. The servers were great. We’d come back but skip starters based on the portion-price disparity.

As someone from Sudbury, I've unfortunately never heard of this place but I'm glad I finally found it! Having a beer on an old boat ignited that Edmund Fitzgerald passion in me. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Lunch on a boat! Great patio, a well executed simple menu, and fun atmosphere. Great value. Well worth your visit. They provided a water bowl for our dog, which was awesome.nnStaff was very friendly.nnWould go again for sure!
