I ordered some steak bites to go. When I opened my box I smelt a strong smell of burnt meat, and visually the bites looked black on most sides. I tried them cause I figured it maybe was a small amount of burning. They tasted horrible. It tasted charred and burnt, so salty and hard to bite into especially on the black parts. I'm genuinely perplexed by their decision to send out burnt meat instead of preparing a new fresh batch. Especially the chef cooking it. He probably smelt it, and they still chose to proceed with it. Extremely disappointed.
We had the dumplings. They were delicious. However, it cost $16.00 for 5 of them! Not worth 8$ for 2.5 dumplings, let alone $16.00 for 5! The atmosphere was relaxing, spacious, and open. The drinks were spot on. The service was friendly and attentive. One annoyance was the number of flies inside the pub. We can understand a few, but this was many! We would return for beverages but not for appetizers due to the cost. We have reviewed many restaurants and pubs, etc, and the miniscule amount of dumplings is not worth the cost, especially when sharing.
Great service. Nachos were top 3 I've ever had and that was with no extras. The picked onions added such a nice touch plus the house made salsa was delicious. I ordered a burger later and subed onion rings I think the burger patties could have been cooked a little more and the rings needed a bit more time in the fryer. But portion size was amazing and even up sizing the rings or only cost 22 bucks. Great pub give them a go!
I’m literally shaking as I write this, if I could drive there with the food I would but unfortunately I used skip the dish. I can’t state just HOW BAD THE FOOD WAS. Probably the worst poke bowl EVER. Tuna wasn’t fresh, rice was hard as rocks, it smelt bad, avocado slimy. Like how does a restaurant okay an order like this with a straight face? An absolute joke.
Came to the Berwick with my dad and fiance as we are new to Cranston and wanted to try the local pub. We got the Prime Rib Dip, Nashville Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Fingers with Honey Garlic sauce. Service was great, and the 2515 beer we got was pretty good too. The food was pretty mid, the beef dip was the best of the 3. The chicken sandwich was very mayo-y and not my kind of hot chicken sandwich, and the chicken tenders were not good. I don't know if it was the sauce or the tenders themselves, but there was a very odd and overpowering spice that was not good at all. There was an odd spice choice in the dip as well, but not nearly as overpowering. Overall it was okay. I'll probably come back to try the wings on wing night.
Used to get the Nachos all the time. They were puffy crunchy tortilla with multiple layers of toppings, large purple pickled onions and a creme drizzle amazing. Maybe new kitchen? New chef? New vendors? New recipes? Used to be a A+ but recent pick-up C-. No toppings, thin cheap chips and very little cheese. Also no guacamole as listed on menu? Peculiar something happen and quality tanked. Definitely using a different pub.
Your typical "neighbourhood pub" atmosphere. Comfortable, relaxing, and fun. The food is also always excellent! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options
Went there on a Sunday afternoon with friends. It was very loud because football was on. Good times for fans but if you aren't there for the game it may be better to stop by another time. The food and beers were excellent and the service was top notch. We'll be back.
It felt like the food was defrost 5 minutes before we ate it. An old husky diner would have way better burgers than this place. Next time I'm going for drinks only.Food: 2/5
Our first time here, we had the deep fried cheese curds, so delicious. Our food was tasty, hot, and a good portion sizes. Our server was very kind, friendly, and on top of making sure we were good.
