Went for lunch and overall it was great but some room for improvement. The place looks great and service was really good. We had the deep fried cheese curds which were amazing and the sauce that comes with it was also super good. We also had the nachos to share with the $9 add on of pork. The meat was good but we were expecting shredded pulled pork not a big chuck of meat. Would definitely be better shredded and on top of the nachos instead. We also asked for hot sauce and were brought a small container of Frank's. Found out later that they charged $2.50 for it without telling us. There lucky the waitress was super nice because I normally would have had that removed from the bill for not being told of the price beforehand. The nachos took a really long time to come too and the place was nearly empty but the portion was huge and definitely worth the price. There were a lot of flies in the restaurant too which was super annoying so with all that hard to give 5 stars but a good option regardless of the problems.
This is our new favourite spot! Awesome ambiance we sat on the rooftop patio, it was so cute!. The service was fantastic, Jake was our waiter and he was a gem - quick service, super friendly…10/10! We loved everything we ordered - the bannock tacos, chicken fried cheese curds and the rye & watermelon wings were SO good and the drinks we cannot wait to come back.
We hosted an event in the upstairs venue at the Bell in Scona and it was phenomenal. The team was incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the entire process. If you're looking for quality event space and planning, they certainly have you covered. We snagged a few photos of what everything looked like before people arrived. 10/10 would recommend.
We had such a lovely dinner at the Bell. The food was great, very good portions, everyone was stuffed! We had amazing service, everyone was so kind and the service was quick and helpful. Our server Rahim was very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to eat there again! The BEST patio downtown, beautiful details, the brewery is very cool to see. I definitely recommend checking it out if you enjoy beer, good food, and great people.
Came for a friends birthday celebration and the service was alright, drinks nothing special and the food downright awful. Two people in our group ordered sleeves of beer and were charged and served full pints. As far as the food goes, the nachos had no cheese under the first layer, the roasted broccoli and pear salad had only 3 pieces of pear and 3 stalks of broccoli which were uncooked and fully crunchy raw. The menu also says the salad comes with cheese curds which it did not. The Mac and cheese was $6.45 and smaller than a side portion. The chicken flat bread was $16.95 and flatter than a cracker and incredibly small portions. The hummus was $12.95 and very few vegetables and barely any hummus. I’ve bought hummus in larger quantities for less at the no frills next door. The service was lacking, we had allergies with our group and the food was served with the allergens and then apologized for however, if it was mentioned beforehand, the food item should’ve not contained them. The staff did not have an understanding of basic allergens that put our friends at risk. They still charged half price for the mixed up dish. Overall, ridiculous prices for the tiny portions of food, average drinks beers and cocktails and mediocre service with 3 different servers. The only redeeming quality to make it 2 stars was the fact they gave the birthday person a free shot and dessert.
Finally made it to The Bell in Scona and absolutely adored it! Food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. The bartenders we had were fun to chat with when it wasn’t too busy, and the service was phenomenal. I had the Pink Aurora cocktail, and if you like sweet, refreshing drinks, this one was made for you. I also ordered the chicken club flatbread and I was super impressed with the amount of toppings and how it tasted so well together. I will definitely be coming back here!
What a great experience! From the moment we walked in and Hailey greeted us with a smile and a hello, we had a great time. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food and drinks are amazing! Thanks to our server Ryley for all the great recommendations. The Pink Aurora drink is a must and the deep fried apple rings fantastic! Come for the food and drinks and stay for the service and the atmosphere.
Very good burgers, excellent Mac n cheese, awesome fries, and a great hazzy IPA to boot! Definitely will go again! Space was too noisy for me. But then, it was Friday night and several large groups.
Came with some friends and had the nachos and the beef and shrimp bannock tacos. The food was absolutely amazing and came out fresh. Jodie the manager recommended the nachos and so happpy she did! Service by Riley was great and didn’t have to wait on anything. I had a ceaser to drink and it was soooo yummy, for sure one of the best in the city. Definitely will be coming back :
This place just opened up recently and it's vibe just resonated with me. Needed to get my butt through their doors! Asked a few gfs to meet up here before another plan on Whyte and they were excited too to try it. Lots of parking is available, though I can imagine during the evenings it could be a little tricky. They have a beautiful store front and the location is nice as it's just south of Whyte but easy to walk to if you want another option while on Whyte. Love all the wooden accents from the barrels in their decor. The main floor is wide open with lots of seating. They have both tall tables and regular ones too. Makes for those who have restrictions, options when being seated. When you first walk in, Amari their host, greets you with his amazing and welcoming smile. He's someone who truly loves his job and helped me out. They also have shelving for Growlers which can be purchased or filled up if you have your existing one. Once at the bar I was welcomed by multiple people. I understand that it's just at 12 noon on a Saturday and it's not super busy, but the attention I was given I am sure would be the same even when they have a full house. At their bar, which has outlets below the beautifully stained wood bar top, is nice and wide so that when we order food, there is lots of room and space to spread out. Looking behind the bar, they have a unique selection of glassware to serve their drinks in! Makes me want to create a challenge to order a drink that uses every glass. With the help of the bartender, Fergie, I tried a sample of their Mango Sour by Analog which just arrived yesterday. Everyone on staff who could, tried it and they all loved it. Once my gfs showed up we made our way upstairs and sat on their patio. The upstairs level is a massive open room that they have used for any event, like a wedding. Can imagine how beautiful the space could look. There' a bar on the top floor along with another set of bathrooms. The patio isn't big but it's beautifully set up. Our server, Maya, helped up pick out more drinks and some food too. My friends ordered a flight of beer and a Mini Mionette. We then ordered their Bell Bread Knots and Bannock Tacos. We were able to try both of their dips; homemade queso and salsa for the knots and picked shrimp for the tacos. Now you HAVE to try their tacos! They were everything that one could hope for; a delicious blend of flavors that complement eachother and made from locally sourced ingredients. The knots were fresh too and the two dips were addictive. We three could have all done a shot of the queso. Hands down, I can not wait to get back and try soo much more from their menu. They have a small selection but everything they offer is perfected and that excites me. I did try to get my Growler filled but they just do not have that set up just yet. So I will be back!
