Some of the best and most unique cocktails I have had. All the drinks were awesome and I liked that they had a good amount of liquor in them.. All drinks were are served fashionably and service was good. The food was amazing as well but the quantity is too small, even for appetizers. One extra food item would have made it perfect. You have a fixed time of two hours. We had a reservation at 7:15 PM but were not served our first drink till almost 7:45 PM .. but they did give us extra time at the end. For the price you pay the experience should be flawless and it's not but still kind of worth it. Will go back for sure.. And hopefully they are taking all the comments and feedback into account.
They certainly have some very unique cocktails here. We did the 5 course with appetizers. The drinks were very good, but all of them are very sweet. The appetizers offset this somewhat, but it would have been nice to have a more savory cocktail thrown in there to break it up. The service was fine, but a little aloof. The lighting in this place is very dark... it was very hard to see what I was drinking and eating. Some small table lamps would make the experience better. It is VERY expensive... I used credit card points for the experience, and I would not consider paying for it the traditional way.
What an AMAZING experience. This is a location that has been on my bucket list for years and it lived up to the hype. First of all, the interior is just so simple but elegant. You walk in and everything is clean, organized, and minimalistic. The seating is super comfy and the tables have more than enough room to host many drinks. On to the main event, the alcohol. What UNIQUE drinks. Between presentation and flavors these mixologists knock it out of the park. I think our favorite drink was Oh Hell Yeah Butter followed by the A Little Sassafras. That being said, there were definitely some drinks that didn't live up to the hype or price tag - but I chalk that up to the willingness of the staff to be so experimental, not everything can be perfect. The one nitpick I would have is that I felt like our main server didn't really have a good handle on how to guide our experience. Every drink we ordered he raved about when in reality he could have done a much better job in explaining the flavor profiles and setting expectations.
We got the full 7 course at the kitchen. I liked all the cocktails, but I really loved the green bean one. The food was great too, none of the dishes disappointed me. The crab and the duck dishes are soooo good. Service was great too, we got seated immediately and started the experience almost right away. People complain about the size of the food, but this is expected. Anyways we were full at the end and we thought it was great experience. We made the math and is about $35 per cocktail with dish.
I’ve had The Aviary on my radar for a couple years now, and was finally able to get in! The cocktails are super fun, strong, and yummy! I made the mistake of thinking that the “food” would be more than a snack. The food list is SMALL and you will still need dinner before or after. In my opinion, the tasting courses are unnecessary. I would prefer to order the cocktails I’m into, and next time I would skip the small food. We got the popcorn SUPER good and great for snacking, the fritters hardly any flavor and very disappointed in these. Actually left them on the plate, and truffle explosion bite so much fun but small for a single $19 bite. For drinks we got the “I yam what I yam” margarita LOVE, and “The Kings Peach”. The King drink is presented in such a fun way!
The cocktails are delicious, there’s a lot of variety, and the ambiance is nice and comfortable to enjoy the drinks and have a good conversation. That said, the staff in general is pretty unfriendly. Everybody I interacted with, from front desk host to the waiter, acted like they’re doing you a favor by having you there and serving you. In my opinion, this detracts from the experience. No reason why they can’t be more friendly and make this a great experience all around.
Simple to complex. We had the 3 course cocktail progression & thought it was a unique experience if you are looking for a cool showcase cocktails We were seated promptly & they were busy. Drinks were excellent! I would do the a la carte next time, but overall it was a great experience.
I loved everything we tried! We only did the 3 course drink experience but I want to try the food next time. Shot out to the great staff!!! Everything was so well put together and by far the best experience I have had with drinks!!! I will recommend it to all my friends!!!
Came on a Saturday, right as they opened, so we managed to get a table. Creative drinks with a focus on presentation. We liked everything we ordered. I enjoyed the hearing about each drink from the server. As it was my birthday, they gave me a complimentary liqueur sample. Overall, I would come again as service was great. Recommend getting a reservation, as tables fill quickly.
We did the 7 course tasting menu with the black truffle explosion. I highly recommend the experience if you love good food and cocktails. All of the food was delicious and high quality. The cocktails were fun, unexpected, and worth every drop. I will be raving about this dinner for years. Also, our table was in the kitchen, so it was very fun to watch all of the food and drinks be made all night. The service was perfect as well. Menu highlights include the focaccia, the chilled tom kha Kai, and Hokkaido scallop. Drink highlights include so you have to let it linger, golden idol, and the popcorn.
