Ever been craving for yummy Indian chicken wraps while in downtown Montreal? Well, you definitely need to pay this hidden gem a visit = A small Indian restaurant with quite tasty food... you will become a regular!
We tried this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend of a friend and were very happy with our experience and food! We ordered online and the order was ready minutes after I placed the order. We ordered two veg thalis, samosas and papadum. All of it was very flavourful!
The food is very good and very much affordable. It's a very busy place but you can always order online. Chole bhature were so good and the quantity was very generous. Also the samosas they have are pretty decent. The gulab jamuns were my personal favourite. They have a limited number of things on the menu but it's a good place to have delicious Indian food.
If i could a zero rating or minus rating to this restaurant, i would. Absolutely the worst Indian food i have ever had. The chicken curry was like water with Indian spices. The rice was cold and dry. The tandoori chicken was dry like rubber. The toilets' were smelling and dirty. I am not sure where the health inspector is to inspect this place. The soap dispenser was broken and i had to place my hand inside the top dispenser of the soap just to get soap. When i was about to order, a woman worker came in, put on her apron and started to work at front counter without washing her hands....no hygiene etiquette at all. Lets not forget about the poor service they give you when you get there to place an order, no hello, no hi, just stares at you. The food they serve is meant for the trash/garbage that they try to pass on as Indian food. I am Indian and know what Indian food should taste like. You may get lots of customers who are not Indian and not aware of the garbage you are serving them, the food you serve is not fit for dogs. I am sure you will respond with negative criticisms as you have shown throughout the various responses to customer who posts here which shows to your potential customer the maturity of yourself and your so called restaurant. Don't waste your money!!!! There are so many better choices in downtown Montreal for tasty Indian foods that actually taste good. Pic to show what watery curry looks like.
Taste wise it’s one of my favourite Indian places : the naan is excellent, butter chicken and saag paneer are great. The only thing I would say is the cleanliness of the floor needs a bit of work that’s all!
eat here often and it’s always delicious! only one chunk of cheese in my palek paneer though but the rest of the food was fresh and delicious!! the best spot for thali downtown. both got the veggie thali option, the spice is mild but you feel heat in the dishes!
I have had chole bhature and veg thali here. Both were really good and tasty. Would really recommend if you are craving authentic North Indian cuisine. Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options available. I had veg thali. It contained a naan and rice along with three curries of your choice. Mine was palak paneer, punjabi kadi and aloo gobi.
I ordered this place on uber thinking it would be good. Of my entire life I have never eaten a dosa that tasted so bad. The dosa itself felt more like a pancake and the filling tasted so bad. Ive never written a restaurant a bad review in my entire life but this horrible dosa deserves to be warned about. It looked like it was eaten when i got it. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Worst indian food I’ve had in my life.
I like the platter style, where you can get to try multiple different curries. The naan was good. Will definitely come back
Hands down my favourite restaurant ever! They have the BEST butter chicken, I could eat it every day!!! You get so much for the price which is very inexpensive! The staff are also soooo nice and welcoming! The lovely man that works there knows my order and starts preparing it for me as soon as I walk in 10000000% would recommend!
