Tetsa River Lodge

I had a cinnamon bun, and it was huge and tasty. The five bucks was more than you might pay at other places, but it was well worth it for where they are located and the use of their clean washrooms. Apparently the lady working there was rude to some of the customers, but she was okay with me. She just seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowd of people, and was quite short. If the gas prices were a little more reasonable, and it was more welcoming, I would give it a 5 🌟. Maybe next time.

Mixed feelings about this place really so it makes it very difficult to rate however we arrived wanting 2 nights accommodation over a weekend so my husband could fish. I had called ahead to make a reservation although they don't accept them. Once we said we were here to fish the woman who served us said (in a very abrupt manner) "well you don't want to stay here then, river is swollen and muddy". I am very grateful for her not taking our money and not informing us of the condition of the river and the fishing but she was not at all friendly about it. A lady who was in the store was showing me a good book to buy when the lady asked if that was her book, when she said no, I was just showing this lady how good it was. She took it off her and said, that's $40 don't mess it up. You can look through this one (and handed one from behind the counter). I get it, i really do, it was expensive and she wanted it in mint condition but her manner was very rude. My husband and daughter ordered their 'world famous' cinnamon bun and we went on our way. Can't comment on facilities or restaurant. Gas was $1.59 with a sign over top stating 'no whining'.

$1.59 for gas and a sign that tells you to stop sniveling. Server was unpleasant and curt. Cinnamon buns were okay. Bathrooms were clean.
