Tetra Kitchen and Vines
… an urban, suburban experience.
Tetra Kitchen and Vines, Durham Region’s newest culinary hotspot, opened September 5, 2014. We are introducing the latest culinary creations from Chef/Owner James (Chad) Thomas Chatterpaul, head chef of “sister” restaurant Chatterpaul’s in Whitby.
Tetra, an Ancient Greek word meaning “a group of 4”, is the brain child of Chef Chad, Mark Homer, Ryan Johansen and Penny Johansen. The four owners share a passion for excellence. They wanted to bring a fine dining option into the Bowmanville/Clarington area and beyond.
The fresh, eclectic and exciting menu offers appetizers, lunch and dinner, ingredients from local farms and suppliers whenever possible. A children’s menu is also available for guests 10 years and under.
Tetra Kitchen & Vines is located about 2 km. north of downtown Bowmanville, at the corner of Liberty and Longworth, in a charming neighbourhood, with ample free parking and wheelchair accessibility. For guest convenience, we have free wifi and electric supply for your electronic devices, at each booth.
Subtle yet sophisticated lighting, sets the stage for an upscale, downtown vibe in both dining and lounge areas.
A variety of booth, banquette and open table seating options meet the need for either intimate dining or larger groups. The dramatic lounge, complete with steel, granite and a floating backlit wall, offer a more casual atmosphere with media screens and a birds-eye view of the busy open kitchen.
The private, south-facing patio accommodates up to 30 guests, weather permitting.
We are proud to be a founding member of A Country Path (est.2014) supporting other independent business owners in east Durham.
