A small, comfortable Bistro located in Historic Downtown Bowmanville. Offering coffee, specialty coffees, teas, wine, craft beer soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps....and more. After noticing the cute interior of this restaurant my coworker and I decided to try it for lunch. After placing our order we found that the food was simply "okay." Our impression overall was that there was room for improvement. However, we do not plan on visiting again.

Went here for breakfast this morning. The staff were very friendly, efficient and upbeat. The food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out. I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast.

Had lunch here today late afternoon. I called 2 times.. No one answered. I wanted to find out if I needed to make reservations for lunch.. I left a message, no one returned my call.. I decided to just show up with 2 others for a late lunch... Nothing special..... Appetizer came way after we had finished lunch... Food was just ok. The sandwich was basic for the price. the Chicken Ceaser was not the greatest and the Thai soup was the same as from Coffee and Cakes across the street. All in all I would say, Not the greatest place for good tasting food. The Snug in Newcastle has a better lunch. The one redeeming thing I would say is that the atmosphere was very nice...Not sure I would visit here again. Perhaps I would give it another try in the future...

Nov 5th 2016. Wonderful evening at the Birch where we had a private party for my wife. Perfect venue for our 65 guests, hot buffet, drinks, music, dancing. Nicole and her staff were superb and made it a night to remember! Jim Murdoch, Bowmanville.
