Temper Chocolate & Pastry

I have to echo the words of a review that I came across online - I also had the best croissant I have ever had at Temper Pastry. And I venture out to local bakeries to get a croissant or pain au raisin around 3 times a week, so when it comes to pastry - I am INTO it. We ordered several different items at this visit: individual double chocolate cake & salted caramel cake, pineapple cream croissant, truffles, hot chocolate and a baguette. And it was clear from all these different items that excellence in quality and flavour drives what they do here.nnAnd I have to say a special thank you to the lovely woman at the front of house who was so warm, welcoming, and suggested we check out the dog park at Ambelside - she showed us that this cafe with beautiful, high end furnishings is not at all a pretentious place. It's a family-run, local business that cares about creating a genuine atmosphere of community.nnI also purchased Chef Hodge's book while I was there. It's a beautiful book geared towards the amateur, home baker like me.nnLooking forward to my next visit to Temper, it will haunt my dreams!

The lemon tart is next level delicious. Not too sweet which is what I love. Iced coffee is perfect , Service was nice and efficient. Not my style of vibe in there but it was clean and very pretty with marble accents and counters . Kind of a high end feel to it.

Our whole office are regulars at Temper Pastries - and for good reason! Whether it’s their pastries, sandwiches, or chocolates, everything is absolutely delicious and never disappoints. You can taste the quality in every bite. The staff is super friendly and always makes you feel welcome. We love this place! 100% recommended.

Have been passing by this a few times and today finally had the chance to try it. Mocha was beautifully done. Chai tea latte was good and not sweet at all. Their pastries are very good too. Had the almond croissant and “opera.” Really loved opera and will certainly recommend it. The croissant was not too fresh but I’m sure at some point it was! They also have lots of seating available and paintings for sale.
