Edit: I really hate the new voice recognition system. I hope that they will bring it back. I can’t imagine that there aren’t tons of other people w same issue. I tried saying the street names 5 times and in the end gave up and took the bus was late. Please bring it back. —— Excellent - whenever I need a cab this is my go-to. If you need to move small furniture or say a bike, they can help you as long as you phone for a van although a small additional charge may be added.
Adapted taxi. Never showed up even after we received the confirmation on Monday the 5th at 745am
Your taxi drivers that run personal errands bringing their kids to activities and they use "handicap parking" to avoid parking further away like normal people do. He uses his cab which is adapted for handicapped transport as a reason to park in these spaces even when they are not transporting anyone. This resulted in someone showing up to use the space and the space was taken by him. Ridiculous! Picture is posted and I also have his cab number.
Would give 0 if I could. My driver never showed up. Do yourself a favor and stick to Uber.
The automated system doesn’t work at all. Both in French and in English, I have tried several times, doesn’t get the address. Not even close! I lost almost 10 mins just to make the system understand the right address. So frustrating.
I'm very disgruntled. I called for a ride today. The weather is bad and taxi's due to this aren't as available. They told me when I first called to expect a car in 5-10 minutes and honestly I wasn't in a hurry so 30 minutes later I called back at this point freaking out. I said I can't wait much longer. They said oh another 5 minutes. So I waited and 7 minutes later I called again since the 7 minutes had come and gone. I reached a competent person at that point and dispatched informed me they still hadn't found me a taxi this is 42 minutes after my initial call and 30 minutes after one was supposed to arrive. They said they'd try to find me a car. I cancelled. The issue isn't their lack of availability which while an issue I could work around it. It's their lack of conveying this information 5-10 minutes isn't 50. I was 45 minutes late to work this morning so thanks for that. They've got a monopoly in my neighbourhood ubers aren't readily available and all the other taxi companies refer to Hochelaga. So now I am just wondering who do I call east of Hochelaga? If any competent companies are out there and willing to service my neighbourhood please be in touch but avoid this company. They apparently lose all levels of competence when the weather is bad.
I actually prefer their service over Uber. They always arrive fast, cheaper than Uber, have always been super friendly, and very clean cars. I've been very impressed.
I called a taxi after doing the groceries and the driver of vehicle 4290 was very helpful. He helped my elderly mother walk towards the car and sit down. Next, he helped me put the bags and cart in the trunk and brought us home. To my surprise, he took some of the bags, including a heavy one all the way to our doorstep which is unheard of or extremely rare these days. I thanked him and told him I would share this with you all, especially the company which I use most of the time. It is a stark contrast to the first driver who didn't even bother to get up and open the trunk. Credit to whom credit is due right? If I could give it 0 or minus stars I would. This is the reason why uber is thriving, we ordered a taxi and 2h later it still wasn't there. We called both diamond and hochelaga same company under different names, and got neither order. Multiple taxis passed, one diamond stopped and said he was looking for a Michael something, someone else came, shook a voucher promising he'd fill it to the max for a ride 10 minutes away, and the driver took it. I guess Michael is still waiting...
Companies like Taxi Hochelaga and Taxi Coop are the reasons why Uber works. Called a taxi, waited a bit over 20min. received a text saying the taxi was there. Called dispatch saying i received a text but no cab is there. Told me he's just at the corner, will be there in 2min. 10 min later still not there. Cancelled it. Ridiculous, after that they're wondering why people use uber... Even worst is that i'm a regular client, until today i used to call them 3-4 times a week for a 40$ trip.
