Tasty Indian and Meat Shop

This is my new favourite Indian food place! Their food is THE BEST I've ever had. I love that I have the option to pick spice level for every dish, this allows me to order a less spicy dishes for the kids and spicier for the adults! Everything is hot, fresh, quick and delicious. Can't recommend this place enough, we are very fortunate to have them in our neighborhood.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant to buy from. Their food is very flavourful and tasty and decent serving size. The staff is also very friendly and polite. Had to dig in as soon as I got home so didn't get a full picture. So far I've tried the curry goat, lamb and chicken biryani and butter chicken and their food is yet to disappoint. Can't wait to go again :

We eat a lot of Indian food, but this place is definitely a hidden gem. It has a meat shop, grocery store and a restaurant. We ordered chicken lollipop, Mysore masala dosa, garlic naan, coconut naan, biriyani. The food is very fresh- usually Indian food is very heavy on flavor and you can't taste the meat, but my 10 year old son is chowing down on the chicken lollipop and thoroughly enjoying the flavor. He said it is delicious. He also loves the garlic naan bread. It's fluffy, and not overly chewy like a lot of other places. Biriyani is stuffed to the brim- portions are so good- Big Bang for the buck. The rice is not mushy like a lot of other places or overly heavy on spice. Usually you eat two bites and you are done, but this has flavor and not only spice so I can eat more of it. I luv dosas and butter chicken, and I love that the butter chicken isn't overly heavy and actually has chicken in it. This new places are awesome! We got to talk to the owners too and they are great people. Definitely support local- they also deliver and have online ordering, so please avoid skip the dishes and support local DIRECTLY

It might be a little tricky to find, but what a gem! Wonderful hosts and authentic southern Indian food! Everything we had was delicious. They are in the midst of changing their space, so will be able to accommodate larger groups for sit down seating as well as take out orders. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5

We were visiting Edmonton looking for an Indian restaurant to take our kids. Based on reviews from Google we headed to Tasty Indian. They are in the process of setting up for dine in service, so maybe weren't quite prepared but were very accommodating and still made it work for or table of 4 even with just the two guys cooking and running the take-out as well. The food was very good, my kids had butter chicken and us parents had two different types of Korma along with garlic naan and rice. We were very satisfied with the food. We would eat here again when in Edmonton. All the best to the owners as they start offering dine in! Kid-friendliness: There is a child's menu and they can accommodate any level of spiciness.

Fantastic dinner tonight! The food was hot and labeled when it arrived and then when we tasted it! Oh my goodness it was DELICIOUS! We will order from here on a regular basis! I had called before we ordered to check on gluten free details. They were so friendly and helpful and there is the option of heat hot spices level on each dish you order

I'm new to Indian Cuisine. We ordered a lot - Lamb Rogan Josh melt in mouth curried lamb, veg Pakora, Chicken Saag, Aloo Gobi, Malai Kofta, & Mutter Panner. Naan, saffron rice, and some dessert donut holes. Whoa. Really good food, all of it. Thick gravies. Huge chunks of stewed meat that really did just fall apart. Layers of heat, oil, and flavors that just married in my mouth. The prices are budget friendly. I suggest ordering with friends and share.

Incredible food, and just like the restaurant's name, the dishes are tasty, super delicious TASTY! My new favourite take out place! You must try! The butter chicken and naan are to die for and the portions and price are amazing! Did you know, orders over $50 gets you free saffron rice?!! Oh yum! Seems to me it's probably a locally owned mom's and pop's shop. The chef, who also came out to the till to take down my order, is a humble and kind man. He provided me with some great suggestions on what would compliment my meal and was so lovely to add a surprise small rice pudding! And, as I was sitting in my car taking a meeting, he delivered my food to my vehicle without ever being asked! Seriously! Who does that these days? Will go back over and over and would recommend anyone to grab fabulous take-out from them! What a wonderful all-around experience!

Growing up in a Indian family makes you very picky about Indian food . I don’t usually order Indian food from Indian restaurants in Edmonton because they do not satisfy my taste buds, and there is no authenticity and my cravings for Indian food does not go away after trying their food . One of my colleague introduce me to TASTY INDIAN RESTAURANT about few months back . I thought I’d give it a try . I tell you what being a decent chef myself , the service they provide me for the first time i ordered food makes me call them every time when I am hungry . They provide you with very top notch Indian food with very authentic taste the taste you get when your mom cooks food at home . I have been ordering food from Tasty for about few months now and they have never disappointed my taste buds . Even my co workers they love their food , they are from Morocco so they do not like very spicy food so when ever they order the cooks at tasty restaurant will happily adjust the spice level to baby mild which most of the Indian restaurants they cannot provide in Edmonton . The people who works at tasty restaurant are very very helpful and kind they will always send you free treats with you order which most of the restaurants in Edmonton does not provide . The Owner Venka is a very kind person and he always listens to his customers and always provides best of the food to his customers . My favorites are Tandoori chicken , chicken / goat biryani , chicken Karachi , fish pakoras , and chicken masala . Please folks give them a try , I bet they won’t disappoint you or your taste buds Thank you Tasty for the wonderful experience every time we order food .

This was the best Indian food we have had in Edmonton, definetly a hidden gem. The portion size was huge and the meat was tender. Everything was so flavorful. The only thing better than the food was the owner who was so polite and kind, and even gave us a free jeera rice just to try! Overall, a 10/10 experience and will be coming back soon!
