The individual dishes are quite large and great for sharing. So much flavour! The service is good and on top of things as it's usually pretty quiet when we go in. They are very accommodating to families with kids as well. The buffet is okay, although I find it's usually the same stuff and it seems a bit more basic then when you order each item individually. Buffets are always good though if you want to try a little bit of everything. My only complaint is that they don't open until 5, and I wish they opened at 4 for supper.

The lady at Sagar, sucks, she is rude...does not have any people skills at all. The guys who takes orders are equally not smart and no people skills. The place is dark and the food is okay when it is eaten at the restaurant. But when you order it really is not the same. all the curries basically taste the same. In the beginning the food was awesome. I think if you guys change a few people who has knowledge of how to communicate positively you place can bring more customers. Changing your buffet was really not a great idea since you are losing out on customers. I don't think we will be coming back to yooour restaurant any more since I dislike the way that lady talked to me. Never a smile or welcoming from any of the staff.

Showed up at 7:30, closes at 9. We were 1 of 2 tables. We chose the buffet for 2 and order for 2. There was barely enough food for the two of us at the buffet, nothing was replenished. Had to always ask the femal server for the most basic thing, water, to order drinks, food... she was extremely rude and never even said anything when delivering our order. Food was BARELY warm. Plates were never cleared, never checked in on, server sat at the bar on her phone or was gone for long periods of time. Certainly not worth it. Sad that this restaurant is in my neighborhood and used to be so much better. They are literally clearing out the empty buffet dishes without asking if we are finished, not that it matters as all the dishes were 99% empty to start with.

Food was good but there was little or no food available in the buffet. Buffet was scheduled to run till 2.....got there at 12:50 and there was very little food there. Asked the server about having more food available and there was very little food placed. Was told that there was no more vegetables. What kind of buffet have no food an hour before it's supposed to be done? Price of buffet on a Sunday is $22.99

We are of Trinidadian background... I LOVE LOVE their West Indian Cuisine!! The roti is so buttery soft and the food bursts with authentic flavours!! I feel proud to bring friends here because the restaurant has a very classy atmosphere and the service is great! Thanks for bringing West Indian Trinidad food to Edmonton guys... Your 'Wedding Food' with a cold Solo, hits the spot every time!

Terrible service, especially the lady server. I went here today with my family and ordered something. She came back with a no for that item. We ordered another dish and the result was the same. Then we asked her what all items they have and her attitude after that was unbelievable. She was telling us we have to ask first and then she will tell whether they have it or not, and we have to see her face at that time, all reddened and as if we did some fault going there to have some food. My wife is pregnant and she felt so bad. Will never go there and also recommend others not to if you don't want to spoil your day.

Ordered from here many times. Every time the food is different. The inconsistency is incredible. Most of the time the food is delicious. Last night, not so much. Cannot recommend - you never really know what you're going to get. The service also leaves much to be desired.

This review starts with 1 star. Decor is interesting - like a try-to-be-fancy hole in the wall. The chair I sat in needs some repair, as the cushion sinks lower than the frame. To me, decor is not a big thing, as long as the service is decent and food is exceptional. Service was EXTREMELY slow. There was a large party, but they were done. Probably because there was only one person on the floor - waiter, host, cash, bus boy, all in one. Poor guy. We did get our appetizer in a timely manner, but we waited over an hour after that for our food. A table that came after us got all their food before us. When we were getting up to leave, our food was then ready. All-in-one guy packed it up for us to go. Seeing our disappointed faces, he wrote off the bill and apologize. + 1 star. Took the food home and ate it. Although it cooled down a bit during the ride home, the food was still very good and tasty. Too bad we had to wait over an hour for it. But for the deliciousness, + 1 star. So hopefully, this little local restaurant could get its service together! Otherwise, there will be some disappointed foodies.

My husband is from Trinidad and this is our favorite place for Roti. We always have friendly polite service when we eat in this restaurant... But every time we get take out we are always surprised with how rude the lady taking our order over the phone is, she's very abrupt and not patient. We had a take out order that was cold and very scantanly put together, when we called to explain that usually the food and service was exceptional but this meal was not as such, we were met with excuses and actually suggested it was some how our fault ? Anyways, as I said, the food is usually good but don't expect great servicr.

Good food, good service. Our server was quite knowledgeable about the traditions and history behind the food. About the food: Good flavour pairings, and such flavour! Will recommend this place to any friend who can drive out there it's on st albert trail and kind of far north - Definitely worth the drive!
