Story

A casual fun-dining restaurant serving feel good food, craft beer, and premium BC wine on tap. We source local ingredients and commit to using organic and Ocean Wise products whenever possible. Our beer and wine program is the most innovative of its kind, offering 36 craft beers and 16 premium BC wines, many of which are exclusive.

Located at the foot of Lonsdale, in the heart of the historic Shipyards, our restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating with breathtaking views of the Burrard Inlet and downtown Vancouver.

I recently visited Tap & Barrel in Lansdale, BC, and had a great experience overall. The staff were polite and welcoming, and the quality of the food was very good. We ordered the chicken-fried burger, mac and cheese, and pepperoni pizza — all were delicious and fresh.nnWe did ask for ketchup, which arrived a bit late when we were almost done with our meal, but given how busy the restaurant was, it’s understandable. I really enjoyed the warm and lively atmosphere, and I’ll definitely be coming back again.
Overall my experience was a positive one at Taps & Barrel. Given this is the flagship location I had higher expectations. Upon arriving we were greeted warmly, we had a reservation our waiter took us to the wrong table that was reserved for someone else, then when it was our turn our waiter / server did not clean / prepare our table. We requested for a high chair during the booking process and to be seated upstairs. That was not a big deal but the floor was utterly dirty and drinks spills were still on the table. We ended up cleaning that ourselves.nnThe food was a saving grace, my kid loved their mac and cheese. Only complain is that we requested for a medium rare steak it came to well done. That is okay it was a busier day so we accepted that, also the food got really cold real fast that is something else that should be looked into. My burgers got cold within 5 minutes after serving. The fries were warm at best. But still very delicious!nnThese are my two cents.
We absolutely love this place! The servers—Chris, Carlen, Nella, and Zack—are always incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home every time we visit. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is consistently outstanding.nnAs for the food, it’s nothing short of amazing. Some of our favorites include the nachos, gyozas, pastas, burgers, wings, sticky toffee pudding, and afogato. Every dish is always delicious and keeps us coming back for more.nnOverall, this spot offers great service, exceptional food, and a fantastic ambiance. We can’t recommend it enough!nnFab & Fer
It had been over 26 years since I last visited Lonsdale Quay. Since my sister is visiting Vancouver, I wanted to treat her, so we went there together. I was glad we were able to get a spot on the patio with a beautiful ocean view. The food wasn’t particularly impressive—while Truffle Onion Ring Burger was great, the Truffle Mushroom Mac & Cheese didn’t quite meet our expectations. Still, the service was excellent. I hope it won’t be another 26 years before I return!

Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality, making it a great value overall.nnService was quick, friendly, and welcoming. Special thanks to Kaia, our server, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out.nnThe menu offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from, along with a great selection of creative signature cocktails. Whether you're going for a casual lunch or a special dinner, this place is definitely worth checking out.
