Tai Ping Sha Cai

The portion of $7.99 beef brisket noodle is so small and the pork hock is under cooked and very tough to chew. The server does not pay attention to customers and neglect our orders.

I ordered mixed beef parts with rice noodles. To be clear, this is a chinese classic. It's delicious, has a unique taste and not for everyone. This is something that you get if you grew up eating it or if you have an open mind. This was incredibly delicious. The mixed beef parts noodle soup gets a 5 out of 5. The tripe is just cooked enough that it isn't mushy but still soft. The lungs were cooked without being grainy. The service was great too as we had a lot of questions and they accomodated us well. This issue was that for a beef parts soup, they only had two items. Didn't have kidneys or heart parts. They also had incredibly small portions. My bowl of beef mixed parts only had about 1 small piece of lung and 5 pieces of tiny cut tripe. My wife got beef brisket noodle soup. Also delicious but they're definitely lacking in meat. They gave my wife 1 piece of really small beef brisket We shared a rice noodle with beef sauce. The rice noodles were warm to cold and it wasn't fresh as it felt a bit hard. Didn't have that good slimy waught feel. You're probably going to leave hungry or paying a lot. Not sure if it's worth going back but the flavor was really well done.

Everything is average. Service was pretty bad. The soup based was really good though.

The ho fan is really good and the soup is tasty. The brisket is very tender. Just wish there was more meat, there is very little meat

My husband ‘a favorite restaurant and he grows up from Guangzhou. The service is friendly and food is unique. You can not get the same traditional taste at anywhere else in Toronto. Everage cost $35 for two of us. Recommend for all Cantonese.

Yet another venerable Chinese restaurant chain opening up a franchise in TO. This one a 70 year old proprietor famous for its beef rice noodles, among other Cantonese classics. Took them long enough, but classic Chinese restaurant franchises are finally expanding internationally and TO with its half a million Chinese population is an obvious candidate. Ok.. plusses. It's authentic taste. My wife has been to the original Guangzhou store and she tells me the taste isn't far off. Service is really friendly. Cons: the portions are small for the price. Half the items on the menu they don't have. Some subtle difference in cooking, eg: the beef tendons are much too tough, need to cook longer. I'm attributing some of those to the fact that the restaurant just opened recently. Hopefully things will improve once they stabilize. P.s they have an excellent house hot sauce that has a serious kick. Completely out of character for a southern restaurant.

I lived next door to the original location in Guangzhou back in 70’s. I have to say Toronto location tastes authentic though it only resembles around 60% of the taste in my memory. Can’t complain too much as the one in Guangzhou right now only resembles 70%...

What a little gem in Markham. Authentic beef noodles from southern China. Still in disbelief it’s here now.

Food is delicious, room for improvement for service
